From looking at the company website it looks to be business as usual, but of course they may just not have gotten around to updating it: http://www.beaverbrandhats.com/content/Home.index/1575.0.1.1
I liked the look of some of their heritage western hats and was hoping to get one someday. I...
Folks,
I searched this site and found no mention so in case anyone is interested there is an outfit in my State (Idaho) that sells all kinds of vintage publications including western catalogs on CD ($12.99) or PDF download ($9.99) including White & Davis, Miller Stockman and many others...
Since many (most?) on The Lounge seem to be over 40 years old (me included) in case you hadn't heard famed early children's television pioneer John Rovick died in Boise, Idaho a few days ago. He was famous back in the 1950's and 60's in Southern California for his character Sheriff John.
He...
I wonder how many hats, in general not just these specific ones, ended up being tossed out because they were just worn out or from the 60's on as hat wearing died out ended up going to the landfill...yes I have nightmares about the latter scenario!
Great color! Would be nice to see a natural light photo without the flash to better see how dark the color is, but that's just for my aesthetic pleasure as it's way too small for me otherwise I'd be all over it.
For some of us the weather is still too warm to switch to fur felt so we are still wearing straws...I generally wear them until the average daily temp is below 70 and then switch--that's usually by early Oct. BTW, as it is possible to get a concealed carry permit where I am (shall issue state)...
Man you sure have the gift for finding the low-priced Buy It Now bargains! Looks like that seller had a few others that sold at the same time you didn't list here. Did you get those too? Great bargains!
Got to improve my BIN searches!

Does anyone know if any of...
Have you heard anything about how they taste? Like chicken? :D
Might be a hard sale in the US but I was thinking since Asian cultures seem to like "exotic" cuisine it might sell there.
The report linked to in the article says this about Nutria:

Fur Industry—Historically, native mammals, including muskrat, beaver, wild mink, fox, and bobcat,
have been trapped for fur in the Gulf South. In the 1930s, fur interests and others introduced nutria to...
Too bad all these critters couldn't have been processed to make fur felt bodies for hats, but it looks to be a little too late now!
The story about the hurricane flood and the nutria is at...
Nobody went for the Big,,,,,, Juicy,,,,,,,, Sexy,,,,,,,,, HAT! (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Big-Juicy-Sexy-HAT-/120973467167?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c2a949e1f)!
Surely a modern stingy brim fedora (probably cotton or wool) previously owned/worn by an unidentified celebrity is worth at...
Congrats on that hat. :eusa_clap Nice hat and I'm happy you were able to score a nice hat for a good price and I know that you've been trying to do that for a while. Some of us fellow 3/8 guys were watching that one. If the seller had posted as good quality picts as you posted here I would...
