I recently (Monday) acquired an older Snowy River and am not 100% sold on the wider brim. It's in great shape, slightly stiff, but I don't see any issues. I'd like to see if anyone is interested in a trade for another Akubra model with a slightly shorter brim width. The Snowy River is 3 1/4"...- m0nk

I've got two Akubras coming this week and my Falcon Park next month, so hopefully I'll finally have some new hats to share. In the meantime, great ones all! And RLK, those are some gorgeous straws! -
Chuck Taylor color question.
I've got a few pairs as well, two sets of low-tops (in black and charcoal) and high-tops in white. We have a discount shoe store near here called Super Shoes, and they typically have a couple different colors of Chucks at around $30, which is cheap compared to the mall or shoe store prices for...- m0nk

What kind block was used for an Indy Fedora?
I'm going to agree with both on the turn being a major factor. My Akubra Fed IV had some slight taper, even though it definitely had the best block Akubra has used yet. I just redid the crease and included a turn and it's spot on for a Raiders hat now. -

I had considered it since it's my size, but I have the exact same one already and it looks like a replacement ribbon (it's not done the way Stetson did ribbons)... so when the price went too high for my taste, I backed off. -
