What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Another amazing hat, Alan. The felt has a very unique coloring, almost marbled. Can't say I've ever seen that before.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I hear that, we have rain coming in tomorrow around here, too. Pa used to get snow all January, but that was decades ago. We still get an occasional snowstorm each season, but with today's 42'F weather being the norm, we certainly don't see the regular couple inches a week that I grew up with.

Aero to make jackets for new Hollywood WW2 Film, "The Monuments Men"

I was wondering some of the same, it seems like a cool concept though.

    Looking For: beige/off-white fedora

Yes, that's always an option. Parker at Falcon Park Hattery is a good, lesser expensive option (if money is a factor in getting a custom hat). I'm considering having him make me the same exact hat since he's very reasonable to work with.

    Looking For: beige/off-white fedora

The measurements are my size, and personally, I'm tempted for myself. The tag inside noting 6 7/8 is a tad disconcerting, and they don't have the open crown measurement, but it might be a good one if it's from the right era.

Show Us Your Dark Side - Shadow and Silhouette Portraits

Great shot! It has a very classic feel. I bet if you were to set it in black and white it could be mistaken for a shot from the golden era.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Definitely amazing how a different spectrum of light can make a hat appear a different color. Cool pics....

    Falcon Park Hattery

Rabbit, I really appreciate the comparison and description of the strip you received from Art. Parker has it actually listed as a Dark Grey for his Winchester felts, so if it's the same felt, and it looks nearly spot on for Charcoal, I think that's what I'm after. I had already changed the...

What Did You Drink Last Night?

I used to use Carolans... that's good stuff. But after a while I decided to skip right to the Jamesons in my coffee.

What Did You Drink Last Night?

Not to mention the fact that the largest beer maker in the US these days is Sam Adams (though Yuengling is right there with them). Not so sure where PBR and Schlitz are in the list. lol

Recasting " The Thin Man" Article

That might be something that can be done with a smaller, local town theater release if enough people show interest. We have a small theater near me and sometimes they show more recent classics, but I don't recall anything from the Golden Era specifically. I don't even know how easy it would be...

In the mid-late 50's, the Playboy went from thin ribbon to a wide ribbon. Mine has a 2" ribbon, and I've seen others from the same era with the same.
