Hello Sunny :) Waving at you all the way from sunny Scotland! You sound so busy....... can't wait to see a pic of this suit. Looking forward to chatting

Moby - not a bad match!
mysterygal that is a lovely picture. and you do remind me of someone - just can't think who right now (but it WILL come to me!).
Mr. Sable - do you know the closest match is definitely Bogart. You have his face shape but the eyes are different. That is a very cool...
I've just heard Fred Astaire say to Judy Garland "why didn't you tell me I was in love with you?" (Easter Parade). This reminds me there are lots of fab one liners in the classic movies. Any more you can think of?
ETA more quotes from the film:

And - yeah, right  Don't they have more average people to compare me to?
I've been told I look like a couple of people, not Golden Era - I just don't see it (Minnie Driver, and the English lady with big curly hair who was on ER for years). I don't think so though. Don't think I look like anyone - too "quirky" of face, unfortunately :( I have two parties coming up at...
Because they are so fiiiiine! This will be the first thing I try if I ever get to America. I bet you get better than KFC which is the best we can do round here.
oh I see. I'm in the UK, doubt they would deliver. BUT I was a member to one of these, but had to cancel as I just wasn't getting time to watch enough films to justify it.
ooooh nooo!!
noone mentioned coca cola? that's vintage, surely?
Here in the UK we have Gentleman's relish - has anchovies in it....
What about Marmite? That's vintage I think. Tomato ketchup? Here it is "Heinz" which is (and I think, has always been) the market leader.
Spam - bleurgh!
thanks guys. It was on in the living room while I was running around and it really looked like my kind of film. I just cancelled my subscription to an online DVD rental  Having a toddler - there just doesn't seem to be the time! I LOVE films though - one thing that saddens me is not...
Aaaaaaaaaaaargh - it started 5 minutes ago - baby still up, still need to clear a space for the sofa to go which hubby is bringing home with him, and help him lift it.... video recorder not plugged in and don't know how to do it........
I think it's a lost cause :(
I've got a friend who runs a second hand and vintage record store - I would love LOVE to find something he hasn't come across - and to see his face as he tries to figure it out lol He seems to have this infinite knowledge when it comes to old music!
is this a good movie? It's on in 45 minutes here, and thinking of watching it - is it worthwhile? If I watch it I'll need to get my little girl fed and to bed, and our dinner on etc. first - and have a TV dinner!
ETA I have seen bits of it and it looks great. My hubby likes it (I think) so he...
This thread has been fun - a good way to learn about people here.
Well there's only one thing I can claim to be (almost) expert at - the topic of my PhD (because noone else will do my exact topic, making me the authority - same with any PhD student). That is - the relationship of identity...
