Is your jacket Horsehide or Steerhide? I ask because I obtained a LHB in Cordovan CXL steerhide back in May and have only recently been able to wear it due to the warm season finally passing. Anyway, I have a car with very light gray leather seating and I wore my LHB and was concerned about...
Very dignified looking Thunderbay - love the shearling/quilted lining combo. I see Aero is still using the quilted material that adorns the interior of my LHB!
Wow! I actually saw one of these locally about 8 years ago. I live in a somewhat rural area and one of the local attractions is one of the last manually operated ferries (Hatton Ferry) in the United States. I happened to be there when a Red Citroen convertible was being driven onto the ferry...
Thanks for the tip - I checked and there's a small tag sewn into the inside zip chest pocket. It contains the date, number and maker (RSM) - no full name. Maybe someone from Aero will see this thread and chime in. Just wondering if they have child labor laws over in Scotland since our Julie...
How does one determine who made their jacket? When I received my LHB it had a tag attached that provided the style, size and Made by (RSM). Not sure who RSM is but I sure would like to thank him/her directly. The construction, hides used and overall quality is as perfect as humanly...
I received my Aero LHB CXL Steer in Cordovan back in mid-May and the customs fees were about $113.00 USD - I received notice from DHL that the fee was due before they'd deliver the jacket which I promptly paid. Of course then the GBP was at a higher rate than it is now but that had/has no...
Is your truck (by chance) a Nissan Frontier? Just wondering as I spotted the upholstery pattern and center console cup holders. I had one but with leather upholstery and it was a great truck which was recently replaced with an F-150.
Super nice jacket - the lining is very festive and the fit is ideal. It's a keeper for sure so I doubt we'll ever see this jacket in the classified section or on eBay.
Wow - if I were to go back to when I purchased my very first leather jacket (1968 or thereabouts) then I've probably had nearly 100 leather jackets/coats since then. My current count is 39 which is way too many for one person. Of those about 18 or so are premium (Aero, Vanson, Schott, U.S...
I have no exposure to Langlitz products but I do have a pair of Aero Heavy Front Quarter Horsehide Jeans and a pair of medium weight leather jeans.
The horsehide jeans are super heavy/thick and very stiff but (as with their jackets) soften up a bit with your body heat. If you want ultimate...
Very smart looking jacket with a great fit and the color is perfection. I am partial to the Cordovan as I obtained a LHB a while back. The Summer heat is preventing me (and many other loungers) from wearing any type of outerwear - Fall and the cooler temps can't arrive soon enough.
Oh My - was that ever a look? This thread has strayed just a bit beyond whether to button (or zip) or leave a denim jacket open.
It must be the heat dome that is enveloping most of the U.S. I truly look forward to when I can wear any jacket at all!
Anyway, carry on!
Beautiful coat and the new lining is icing on the cake. The Herc appears to be a LHB (which I recently acquired in Cordovan) with piping accents on the front panels and more sculpted pocket flaps.
It's much too warm here in Central VA to even consider wearing any type of leather outerwear but...
Here's a quilted Schott leather jacket that I snagged on eBay some years ago for about $100.00 us. It's lambskin with a polyester lining. The condition is quite good although the knit cuffs and waist band (or whatever it's called) do get those pesky little 'picks' that look kind of natty...
Great side-by-side comparison - the blue FQHH is very striking compared to the black jkt on the left. The color is even more dramatic than the Cordovan BL you had.
The jacket appears to be breaking in nicely and I would suspect this one is a keeper.
That black jacket on the left is certainly...
Sporty looking jacket - the transformation is amazing. I've always liked the quilted leather areas on this type of jacket and the lining is just my cup of tea - red and quilted!
I could never wear a jacket like this (at my age anyway) but it suits you in fit and appearance very well.
