Only just saw this, really lovely coat. I'm a great fan of leather car coats / blazers / 3/4 length jackets so I love it. Probably one of the most utilitarian designs for leather jackets/coats there are, you'll get a ton of use out of it.
"The Dead Lands" on an Air NZ flight to NZ the day before yesterday. Set in pre-European NZ, the story of a young Maori chief son's quest for revenge on those who killed his father. Beautifully filmed, well acted, ultra violent - even in the semi-censored plane version. I loved it...
Hope all those Stateside had a nice Thanksgiving. I've always thought it's a real wonderful idea for a celebration, shame we don't have anything similar.
Tonight will be Gai Yang on the barbie again. Chook has been marinating over night. Can't wait.
Thanks DH. I was a big Bauhaus fan back in the day as well although haven't listened to them in years. I have an original 12'' of Bela Lugosi's Dead from the 2 weeks when they were on Small Wonder Records in storage, might just be worth something now ;)

El Greco eh? I had to write an essay on him back in the day ;)

Two Paddock's 2013 Picnic Pinot Noir from Sam Neil's (the actor) vineyard in Central Otago, NZ. It was on special so I treated myself. Bloody nice drop it is too.
Joan Stanley-Baker's "Japanese Art" which is a history from prehistoric times to present day. Very interesting. It's from the Thames & Hudson World of Art series which is generally excellent. I used various books from the series doing my art history degrees and they're very readable whilst also...

There's a place on Lonsdale in Melbourne, just up from Russell Street which is brilliant. I've had 3 pairs resoled by them this year alone and have used them since we moved here 6 years ago.
They are excellent. IIRC they were the first cobbler that RM Williams recommended aside from sending...
