And it's more fun, one gets more exercise, one sees more places off the beaten shopping track ... the thrill of the hunt.

These would be more in a Berkeley vintage shop too -- probably $25 per. That's why it pays to go into the weird out-of-the-way places ... plus, it's more fun and not as full of trendies. I'd love to see more ties, Feraud.

    Snobbery in the Lounge?

Your family has dimples. He has a hole. Looks like a tracheotomy that went too high. (How's THAT for snobby?)

What the hell is wrong with Kirk Douglas' chin. He should have got plastic surgery for that hole.

Thanks, gents. And ... they were five bucks or so each. It pays to go to the out of the way places, like Old Glory Antique Mall in Vancouver, WA.

    LADIES of the LOUNGE

With this page, the beauty meter has hit the critical mark. The mercury might break the glass. It's getting dangerous in here ... I'd better get out.

Lot of dark eyes, dark skin, black hair in Hungary, n'est-ce pas? Or are there redheads and blondes too?

By "first and last pages" I meant "first pages and last pages." I read the first 8 or so pages and the last 5 or so. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

    Snobbery in the Lounge?

This is very much in line with my own ideas on the subject, Dame. I think that Surely was surely (sorry) correct in wishing to point out that snobby behavior in the sense of ostracism is very ugly. I have verged on it, or perhaps even committed it, usually in the name of a (perhaps misguided)...

    Snobbery in the Lounge?

Elements of the Puzzle Interesting thread. Only found it today; have read most of the first and last pages, but not everything in the middle. My thoughts: 1. One cannot expect a forum dedicated to quality clothing of a fairly limited era to never verge on behavior that some will call snobby...

Death in June said it best. "They're making the last film They say it's the best And we all helped make it It's called the Death of the West." (Actually, looking again at those lyrics, they're not particularly impressive. Perhaps it was the way they sang it. Their masks didn't hurt, either.)
