These would be more in a Berkeley vintage shop too -- probably $25 per. That's why it pays to go into the weird out-of-the-way places ... plus, it's more fun and not as full of trendies.

Lovely to have found this thread. I have many questions abt antiques and finishes and such, and didn't know if there was a thread like this. I will be posting shortly.
This is very much in line with my own ideas on the subject, Dame. I think that Surely was surely (sorry) correct in wishing to point out that snobby behavior in the sense of ostracism is very ugly.
I have verged on it, or perhaps even committed it, usually in the name of a (perhaps misguided)...

Interesting thread. Only found it today; have read most of the first and last pages, but not everything in the middle. My thoughts:
1. One cannot expect a forum dedicated to quality clothing of a fairly limited era to never verge on behavior that some will call snobby...

(Actually, looking again at those lyrics, they're not particularly impressive. Perhaps it was the way they sang it. Their masks didn't hurt, either.)
