    Graffiti on a church.

For what it's worth there are plenty of parents today who beat their kids with varying results. Many children never see the inside of a health professional's office. Those who do are not there to be trained as victims. They are likely emotionally disturbed due to screwed up families (likely...

    The Age of Entitlement

In the past there was Jacob Riis photographing the poor to expose and hoping to improve the lives of impoverished people. Today's version is People of Wal-mart whose purpose is to mock and attempt to distance us from them. Go figure.

    Graffiti on a church.

This reminds me of an NPR program following a recent school tragedy here in the U.S. It was noted that regardless of statistics people prioritize their fears and safety based on mostly groundless assumptions. On a personal level, I've observed neighbors freak out when a home is robbed but...

    Graffiti on a church.

It is especially ironic to see religious folks paint with such a broad brush and be the first ones to want to kick some rear end over what amounts to some paint. Sometimes our religious lessons go quickly out the window. A few pages back Baron Kurtz mentioned young people having...

    are we becoming too self-centered?

Self-centered people have always existed. It certainly feels like society, through media advertising and the acceptance of social medias as the acceptable form of socializing, has brought the bad habit to a new and mainstream low.

That Etsy case looks well made and with classic styling. The seller's other items look like quality leatherwork. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the cell case.

Are you ever tired of explaining why you live or dress the way you do?

For the most part people in my area don’t comment on dress. The few comments I’ve received have been positive. Those usually come from Latinos and African Americans. The inquiries I receive have more to do with accessories. People are fascinated by a pocket watch or fountain pen. You...

    Waldorf Astoria Doors Removed

I wonder how legitimate the auctions are. Am I remembering correctly some years back someone was trying to sell Grand Central Terminal post-renovation fixtures on ebay? Was a contractor or "friend of a friend" that acquired the items?

    Depressed by the modern world

I certainly agree and do this myself. I enjoy the music, art, literature, cinema, etc. of whatever era I choose despite my surroundings. This modern contraption I am typing on allows me to share ideas with like minded people. With a bit of effort it is possible to live a quality life.
