Yes and no. The buttonholes are handsewn and working, but unbuttoning them is pointless as the sleeves are sewn shut, and the split in the lining inside the sleeve is sewn together. Marc is probably right about that past alteration. -

Shaving, blood and white dress shirts
I've cleaned shirts by first soaking them in hot water and white vinegar for an hour, then rinsing, then soaking soiled spots with hot water mixed with a lot of oxyclean. Let that sit overnight and launder normally the next day. Hydrogen peroxide should work too though it can bleach, I've... -
