I tried Keniworth but I didn't really warm up to it. I'm a big fan of Kenyan Marinyn though...and most Assams.
Not really a tea, but given it's new popularity, I gave Rooibos a try...tasted a tad medicinal to me. Must be an acquired taste. I think I'll stick with teas.
Good, well written article. He makes a very good point about having nowhere to put one's hat! He also makes a very good point about the respect that a fedora seems to bestow. My wife often comments about the good service we will receive in a store or a restaurant, and my comment is always...
We had nice colour up here but it peaked about a week or so ago. The beauty of it impresses me anew every year. I can't imagine living in an area that doesn't get this colour. Now it's all dulling down and bare trees are starting to show. Despite that, as I look out my back window I see...
We certainly do...there are coyotes in our immediate neighbourhood (as well as deer, foxes, etc)...and we live not far from downtown Toronto. It's an entirely urban neighbourhood! Coyotes are resourceful. No wolves south of Alonquin Park, though (about 200 km north of here.)
But when I'm feeling funky, I turn to these guys...the Shuffle Demons!
The video has about 8 seconds of black at the beginning.

I used to love Alton Brown's Good Eats, as well as Tyler Florence but Food Network Canada doesn't show them anymore. Basically it has devolved into a competition channel...Dinner Party Wars, Cup Cake Wars, Canada's next chef...what a load of junk...yawn. I just don't bother watching it...
I may have to put up with ice and snow, but in return I don't have to worry about rattlesnakes, scorpions and black widow spiders...fair deal in my books. I do not envy you the pest problem! Good luck...I hope you get rid of your pests! I do know that the diatomaceous earth works well on ants.
You're going to have to narrow it down. Canada's the second largest country in the world...over 3.8 million square miles...with lots of cities. If you could narrow it down to a particular city it would help. If you can remember the shop, it would be even better. Otherwise, I don't think...
Thanks Chepstow. I was quite pleased with the hat once I finished cleaning it and stretching it back to its original size. Sometimes you can find treasures at church rummage sales!
I normally post about fedoras but today, faced with the rapid approach of old man winter, I was digging out my cold weather stuff. There amongst the gloves, scarves etc, was my Vrai Basque beret...one of my regular winter 'go-to' hats. It's an old friend and one of my favourite hats.
Excitement this weekend! I found a size 59 (perfect) black Borsalino at a local church rummage sale. My second Borsalino and, frankly, much nicer than my first. Some steaming, some brushing and a slight stretch (it had shrunk a bit) and on the head it went.
Not a great picture, I know. I...
