Innisart, from another fairly new poster, I would say you will begin to appreciate a higher crown the more time you spend at The Lounge. Looking through pictures on the "What Hat Are You Wearing Today" and the "New Lid" threads, a lower crown will show up and look a bit odd! Mark my words... -

I would put in a word for Bernie Utz - I've only been in once, about 5 years ago and don't live in Washington, but it seems like a venerable hatter of old. I visited before becoming enamored of felt dress hats, and I purchased a nice ivy cap that I still wear here and there. -

The Open Road Guild
There's no tags inside the sweat. There is a blurry purple stamp that looks like it may be the John B. Stetson logo (really too blurry to tell) and also stamped in black is the number 405656. Any other thoughts on dating and identifying this lid? -
