Yes, for Absinthe_1900. It's a great looking hat. Thread here and pics:
That's the look I was hoping for when Art refurbed my vintage Disney. I consider it my own Aviator:
^Fletch, I believe that's what it corresponds to, although it's vintage and has no model name on it, I don't think. But it's basically the one that looks like a Stratoliner. It's a great hat. I wore it the past couple of days, in fact. Here it is, although it's creased differently now...
Good job, Indycop! Over the past several weeks I've really been giving my Artlite a lot of time out of the box with the same attitude in mind--wear that thing!
^Great hat and look, as always, Douglas. I've been wearing my Artlight brim up quite a bit lately as your Playboy is in your second 'live' shot. I really like how it looks.
Welcome to the Lounge. By all accounts, you've made an excellent choice with Camptown. Please share your thoughts when you get it.
I'm sure members would like to see some of your illustration work over in the Display Case.
But 'talking up' a certain hat also reflects actual interest and demand. I understand it also creates it, but the forum does that for all sorts of particular hats and vintage hats in general.
Did anyone here win these Borsalino beauties? If condition (mint) and sizes (7 3/8 & 7 1/2) are as advertised the final price ($355 for both) was a good one for the buyer.
Art Fawcett has a very nice hat box done up for his hats, but I suspect you'd need to find a source on the Continent, as shipping those things would eat you up due to their size. Art could probably give you some guidance on specs, price, etc., though.
