Since you've ordered from Art now you might consider seeing if he could resize it for you according to your head size since he can do an exact fit. That said, given the condition, age and size of that hat you likely could get enough for it to put toward another custom.

Well have fun picking. My personal opinion on a first custom is to go with something very versatile that you'll have on your head all the time. That way you get the most for your money. You can specialize on your subsequent hats. ;)
Treat the sweatband with some leather conditioner (Lexol, etc). After a few treatments I've found that hats will loosen up some. A light stretching might help, too (after the leather is thoroughly treated).

The HST is Art's OR-esque Limited Edition, so I was just saying if you're going with Art exclusively (not a bad choice, certainly) and want to be in the Guild, the HST would be the hat to get.

I do still have it and it has aged very well. At this point the new has been knocked off, but it's not really showing significant wear. I carry it weekly, not daily, usually with a laptop.

A made in England Burberry or Aquascutum (I'd be satisfied with either) is one of those finds that has eluded me thus far. I've come very close, but so far no cigar. It's one of those 'grail' thrift finds for me.
