I'm in the fourth largest city in the US and as far as I can tell I'm the only one in Houston ;) . I'm sure they are out there somewhere but I never run into them, I'm the oddity in my social group. And anyway, I'm married with a 6 year old daughter and I don't really have the opportunity to go...
I'm pretty sure that he wasn't trying to make a statement, "The War" is was the people that fought it and are being interviewed referred to it at the time. This entire program is from their point of view.
I was at a thrift store last week and they had a projector just like that for $8. I didn't really want it, but if anyone here is interested I could go pick it up and send it to you. Even after postage it would probably be a good deal.
I bet all the little towns that tore down the nice, turn of the century brick buildings are kicking themselves now. It's hard to convince people to visit your quaint little town when it's full of late 60's modern junk for buildings. Even here in Houston a bunch of the nice brick two/three story...
Anyone watch this last night on AMC? We had never seen this Hitchcock triller before, I guess it was Jimmy Stewarts first time with the director. It was also Hitchcock's first color movie. It's funny though, that at times I was so focused on the suits I missed some of the story.
I can't believe they still make those, I had frames just live that in Jr. High (1977ish). I actually still have them and my daughter uses them for dress up.
