    I am no expert... but I think that is true...I think that the Panama Canal workers used to fold their hats in half thus the crease in the crown of the hats. Panama Bob has made reference to some of the hats made for him could be passed through a wedding band. I believe it to be true.

    I don't agree, that's just too many hoops to jump through. It's just a hat for crying out loud...get a new one. I have some sentamental stuff too, but it's just stuff. It ain't alive or anything, get a new one, or two. Don't go crazy trying to figure out how to fix it.

    Millers storefront is about 30 minutes from my front door... Their signature line is Biltmore. They carry Stetson and Dobbs and some other Italian felt called Guerra. The kid who works in the showroom's name is Adam.

    If it's not really dirty and spotty I would'nt bother cleaning it. I use a a paint brush to simply brush lint and dust from my hats. Hat sponges are realy an abrasive. Using one actually sands and raises the knapp of the felt kind of removing a thin layer of the felt and the dirt and spot...
