    WWII Eccentric Heroes

I have read much about both. I'm not sure I would ever say one was more eccentric than the other. They were both prima-donnas, along with McArthur of course. Monty was extremely strange and yet he was very effective. Eisenhower had his hands full trying to control those two for certain...

    Sally Struthers and Online Degrees

I believe the astronaut who wigged out a couple of weeks ago went to UTSI, though I don't know if it was online. It's a fantastic program. One of my college professors, Col. Jean Jack, helped to establish UTSI. He was the most brilliant man I have ever known. Was a military liaison chief...

Do we like sodie pop? What do you like and what do you call it?

It's Coke. Doesn't matter whether they have RC, Pepsi or what have ya. It's all Coke. Course the original, Coke, is the best.

    Winning Ugly! Go Colts!

Not likely, the Colts haven't won since 1971. They acted more civilized back then. Well sports fans did anyway, in general.

    Vintage Motorcycles

They look kind of neat, but reports are they are very unreliable and parts are difficult to get. The engines they use are antiquated poor designs, not simply a vintage design but was a bad design from the beginning. Plus anything Russian has abhorrent tolerances, poorly machined parts and...

    Vintage Motorcycles

I owned several street bikes in college and for several years after. My love was my 49 Harley Panhead with suicide clutch and shift on the tank. Felt like Brando and the Wild One boys riding that bike. Yes, I know Brando rode a Triumph in the movie, but there were plenty of Harleys in it...

Ju's was the most famous hatter in Nashville. He could make or fix anything. unfortunately he died a couple of years ago. His wife tried to carry on, but her age and poor health prevented it. So she closed shop. The only other shop that could make, shape or fix anything closed a little over...

    Men who can cook.

I love to cook, can cook most things and do most of the cooking in our household. The kids much prefer my cooking to my wife's, much to her consternation.

Where did your user name come from??

Mine comes from the fact that I once had a job of looking the world over for downed warbirds, digging them out of lakes, rivers, swamps or off hillsides etc etc and then brought them back to the states where we rebuilt them to fly. And then we flew them.:)

    Genealogy/Family Pedigree

The Mormon church is also a great resource. They have the most extensive records of family lineage of any institution in the world. I have looked to them several times when I was stuck at a generational level.

    Geatest designs of WWII

The DC-3 is a great design, but again if the object is about those things designed during the war it doesn't qualify. Maybe we should say in the decade leading up to the war and including the war years. Or like the Corsair, 1938, was designed for what was seen as an impending and unavoidable war.

    Geatest designs of WWII

The P-47 is often recognized by Aircraft Engineers as the finest all round fighter plane of the war. The Corsair is my favorite and the P-51 is a beautiful flying bird, though it wasn't a tough as some of the others. The Folkwulf 190 was a great fighter as well. The B-17 had to be one of the...

    Thanksgiving Dinner

You are right Red Pop, everything BigO Jason does is great. Everybody calls him BigO cause he looks just like a young Orson Wells. I am trying several of his thanksgiving recipes this year, but all of his recipes I have used have been tremendous.
