Mario, most people would not understand that comment, but I believe all of us here understand how you feel! Thanks for the comment. It's very nice light felt; a good summer lid. I don't really have a feel for it because I'm leaving the factory crease.

NOS, with a couple little moth nibbles here and there. It's gray, but in certain light takes on a very light blue color. I haven't determined whether or not I'll recrease, but probably not. It's the only factory creased hat I have, so in that regard it's...
Johnnyphi and Tooch, I got one of the Royalists as well, and it may be a mystery, but I think it's really nice felt! I like the hat. It's moldable and light enough I leave it open crown until I'm ready to wear it. I'll post it sometime, but first the Lee...
Lee Adventure
Here's a Lee Adventure, courtesy of Johnnyphi. It's a nice light felt and in NOS condition. A couple minor moth nibbles. Overall a very nice hat with a gray tone, and in the right light it looks light blue.
Champ Diplomat
This was an Ebay find that arrived in the size advertised and in great shape. The only issue is a small stain on the liner, but it is otherwise beautiful. It came open crown in a Champ Diplomat box, but nowhere on the hat does it say Diplomat. The felt is fairly thick, but...
Come to think of it, I believe mine was the Elmer's as well. I think my only mistake was rushing it a bit and ending up with a bit of a hardened BB type thing in the divot. A bit too much glue. It looks fine, but doesn't fee like the rest of the felt.
I've written some silly things before as well - don't worry, everyone's pretty kind around here :) And what do you know? Lefty posted some good tips for you!
Zetwal, if you had waited a bit to put that old thread link in there we might have seen another cool reply from Lefty saying "Click Here" and the answer would have come up! Oh well, maybe it's not too late. :)
HosMan: I'm pretty sure Corky was replying to Jeff Connors question in a post that was previous to yours.
Check back, as someone may write in to offer you some advice.
ScottF - yes I have tried Gene's moth repair method. I didn't use the same adhesive spray he used as I couldn't find it. I used a different brand.
However, it worked quite well on a deep moth divot. It wasn't through the felt, but deep and noticeable right above the ribbon at the front...
GWD, let me just state for the record, I love those earthy tones, and if you ever decide to rid yourself of that hat, I'm in OC as well. I think we have the same hat size too! :D
You have a couple different creases in your photos, and it looks like it will take a new crease so easily - it looks like great felt. How's it feel? I have one Royal Deluxe that is very soft and malleable.
That brim is a bit narrower than I prefer, but I'm with Mario - that's a great looking hat! Nice color, etc. It just works! I'd even keep the feather...
