    Sponge rollers---your looks and suggestions?

And also, if you're having problems with 'tweaky' ends, your probably not rolling them up properly, which can be especially a pain if you've got layered hair. Here's a trick I've learned; as you're rolling up your hair, keep rolling the ends so that they get rolled into the rest of it....making...

    Sponge rollers---your looks and suggestions?

They sound like a pain! I use just regular sponge rollers, but in a medium size. They actually are not that bad to sleep in. For me, I just need to sleep on my back and then I'm fine.

I agree. Everybody who has seen me lately has absolutely loved it. Hmm...buttoned up red huh? Is it a light red or dark? it sounds interesting, especially since you're a redhead too!

    That tune in your head

It takes a VERY steady hand! :D For me, anything that has a smooth texture is so much easier to apply!

the *stigma* with wearing red lipstick

lol ...oh dear! No worries! Another way to tell wether you are 'warm' or 'cool', is to look at your skin tone. Does it have a yellow hue or a pink hue? Also, put up to your face while looking in the mirror, something that is gold, and then something that is silver. Pink tone and gold; warm...

    Powder Room Pets?

One word of caution about terriers, they can be a bit high strung! We've got one as well...well, a rat terrier. It sounds like it would be an ugly dog, but she's really cute, but a handful! Old fashion; those guinea pigs are so adorable! How are they as pets? My daughter is really wanting a...

If you said you looked like one celebrity from the Golden Era...

Welcome to the lounge Shanna! I can't think of any golden era movie star you resemble, but from the photo of yours, you remind me a bit of Shania Twain

    Starting on red lipstick ;)

Up until recently, my lipstick color of choice has been in the brown shades. But with really wanting to go vintage (for me it's all or nothing) , I've been wearing red pretty much whenever I go out of the house. I loved it at the get go. Actually, it was my husband and MK telling me, 'ah, no...

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

All the Charlie Brown movies are great! I remember every kid in the neighborhood would have to watch them...everything else could be put aside for awhile :D I especially like the message in the Christmas one.

the *stigma* with wearing red lipstick

I've got a lot of red in my hair as well, and I totally feel for you having trouble finding a right shade of red that was complimentary! I probably ended up buying about 10 different shades of lipstick before finding the right one :eusa_doh: But, it really does complete the 'look'. I'm still...

What era of dress or style doyou prefer?

My favorite style era's were the 40's and 50's. Ever since I was a young girl I absolutely loved Audrey Hepburn. She always looked so perfect!. Both 40's and 50's seem to be the most flattering on me, I also love the looks because compared to today's women fashion, they're so femine and lady like.

    That tune in your head

lol speaking of Johnny Cash, I had a song of his stuck in my head this weekend....'I put a close watch on this heart of mine, because you're mine I'd walk the line' American bandstand:  I feel sorry for you :)

Oh the Stigma with wearing seamed fully fashioned stockings!

dressing vintage, I actually get more respect than any kind of lewd looks. The seamed stockings don't have to come across as trashy. Put them with a nice dress, with some gloves and accessories, and you look like a lady. I'm more afraid for those who I see walking around with hardly anything...
