Character actor James Rebhorn passed away after a long battle with skin cancer. James was most recently on Homeland.
He wrote his own obituary which is worth sharing.
Same here. I enjoy practical effects over digital. Digital effects work better in the background to enhance or create backdrops rather than character oriented.
The better films know how to blend practical and digital effects to make the viewer forget they are seeing an effect.
Blade...
This reminds me of a recent compliment my wife and I received. We had family over for a small birthday celebration. While sitting in the dining /book/dvd/computer room a family friend stated how smart she felt surrounded by all the books.
I later mentioned to my wife you will never hear that...
Agreed. It certainly feels like he is creating films on autopilot. Spielberg ruined War Horse with all the schmaltz.
I thought SPR was just o.k. Nothing I'd rush to recommend to folks.
3 machines? That's great! I showed my wife a pic of your machine. She is a knitter and attempted to make me a pair. She only got through one before calling it quits! Where is the convention?
Also the phrase, On Steroids used to describe large items. Such as, "It looks like a truck on roids!".
I'm not sure why adjectives like big, large, immense, giant, etc. do not suffice.
The expression is thrown around too much except when it's most apt in describing people who are actually...
Watched a few episodes of Live from Daryl's House. It's a great show. Daryl Hall invites musicians to perform. Guests include Cee-Lo Green, Todd Rundgren, Blind Boys of Alabama, Keb Mo, etc.
It would probably be cheaper to wear knee pads around the house if you're wearing out denim chasing a three year old. Probably better on the knees too..
That sock knitting machine is amazing! I'd love to own one.
In my 20s I worked in a textile factory and on different knitting machines. I miss those machines.
Good grief! The banality of internet trends never ends. People aren't even trying anymore..
The only thing that hasn't changed about J.P. over the years are those awful sketches and people's dislike of them! ;)
