If you like them and they fit your needs then don't worry about it.
I'd say they probably are corrected grain, but I have a pair of corrected grain AEs that I really like. It's not the end of the world.
At one time local dry cleaners would also do hat cleaning and blocking. My father said he remembers my grandfather's hats coming back open crowned from the dry cleaner. I suspect you'd be hard pressed to find one who could do it today.
DT, I have an all wool Aran sweater, cream and heavy, made in Ireland that was purhased at TJ Maxx/Marshall's a few years ago. Keep an eye at those stores as Xmas time approaches. They usually get a stock in.

Corrected grain leather is a sub quality leather that is run through rollers to 'correct' the grain appearance. It will often have a particularly shiny and smooth look to it. There are even different grades of corrected grain, but at its worst it's pretty plasticky.
