Just an update, I have finally received an email from the manager of the London Urban Outfitters flagship store, and they have offered me a replacement or a full refund for my faulty coat! It has taken a few weeks and many emails, but I am thrilled. Thanks for all your advice and support ladies...
I bought Protect & Perfect a while ago and am just finishing the tube. I have to say I couldn't see any difference whatsoever, and for that price I had higher hopes.

Thanks for the advice :) I have already tweeted about the merchant and designer and tagged them in the tweets - they seemed to respond a whole lot quicker after that!
Thanks again everyone. Funny you should mention Karen Millen, my dry cleaner said they have had expensive coats by Karen Millen do the same thing, and that coats are supposed to be tested with all their decorations and buttons, again and again, to see if they hold up.
