Also, as I said, it is possible that not all the owner of these jackets aware the shrinkage, and they may not on the forum etc...so, as I said, it is my suspect. And it has nothing to do with the general quality of the Horween. As a matter of fact, I still believe they are one of the top leather...
I am not saying that the Horween change the way of tanning the leather, what I am saying is, is it possible that this is just a small batch of leather that does not meet the standard?

I think the creases do affect the length of the sleeve but not the length of the jacket, there must be some other reasons that caused the shrinkage...we just don't know what it is. And this is what we are try to figure out at the beginning of the thread, so, lets say, can we back to the topic?

Errr, the opposite situation happens to my jacket, as I posted, there were diagonals on my Westfall when it was new, but after leather is softening, these diagonals are gone...
Also, if my knowledge is correct, the cotton thread will stretch due to wear as well, am I right?
For unsanforized denim, the denim will stretch back by 1 to 2 inch after some wear, even to the original size if you really want to, so it is not a big problem if you get the shrinkage wrong.
