    Vintage Coffee Makers

While I still may buy a percolator (even if I'm the only one who uses it), we decided to get a small Bunn. I've really been impressed by it's speed and how well it makes my coffee taste! Interesting tidbit on the family. Thanks for posting!

    Home spa treatments

I did the homemade pore strips this morning. I admit, I had my doubts but wow, did they work wonderfully (and so satisfying to peel)!! I couldn't believe the gunk that was in my chin :eusa_doh: I'm definitely writing this one down for future use!! Thanks so much for the link!!

    Rain bonnets?

I did a search but can't seem to come up with anything. As I've gotten into doing sets, I've been thinking about taking it another step and start wearing a "little old lady" plastic rain bonnet. I have an umbrella but I'd still like that extra protection. ;) I haven't been able to find them at...

My husband asked me a question today that I thought maybe you phone experts could answer? When did they start making phone cords coiled & why?

    Vintage Phones

I'm having difficulty dating my phone. It has an F-1 handset w/a straight plastic cords. I believe the body is metal and it weighs a ton!! I'm figuring it to be somewhere between 1938 to 1940-something. Is there a way to pinpoint a specific year?

How did they keep their hair-do's from week to week?

I'm so glad I found this thread!! I've been doing roller sets for the past week & loving the results. Last night, I did flat pincurls and slept in my "boudoir cap" (always wondered what those were called lol). It worked!! And I have never been able to get 2nd day hair! Thanks ladies!

Does anyone know of an extension cord of sorts? I won a Western Electric that has one of these http://www.oldphoneworks.com/adapter-spaded-cord-to-modular-plug.html I'm pretty sure it won't reach from my bedside table. I don't want to rewire it but was wondering if theres something I can plug...

Help with my soft bonnet dryer!

So I recently obtained a vintage soft bonnet dryer. When you attach the hose, is it suppose to be in the front or back of the head? Also, any advice on getting one over medium-large rollers? The advice is greatly appreciated! :-)

As if we didn't chat about pin curls enough. . .

I've been pincurling my bangs recently. I've been doing 2 rows of 3 however I have a cowlick in my front hairline. It's causing a frustrating gap in the bangs. Does anyone have any advice on dealing with this?
