Oh yes, I remember the second run theaters and movie houses that showed older films at basement prices. In the NYC / Queens area it seems the variety is gone and we're stuck with the mega multi-plexed stadium seating theaters. I miss the variety we used to have.- Feraud

Best Movies on Netflix (deep down)
My wife loves HOC and made us watch the entire season over the weekend. The things we do for love.. ;) My wife picked Trollhunter and we really enjoyed it! Is anyone looking forward to the Netflix produced Daredevil? The trailer is online today. I am looking forward to it.- Feraud

Just to clarify, I am not anti-theater. I'm a movie fan and have been seeing films in the theater since I was around 10-11 years old. I truly miss the grand old theaters of my youth. As time passed and the family and expenses grew it's been hard to justify the cost. I'm looking forward...- Feraud

Yes it absolutely is just a personal preference. Theaters in Queens are nasty, Manhattan is somewhat better and I've gone to nice ones out on Long Island. All things considered I rarely choose to see films in theaters.- Feraud

Yes I would have to pay transportation but wouldn't have those others costs I noted. One offsets the other. There are theaters in Queens but none within walking distance. You need car, bus, or train to get there. The theaters in Queens (cleanliness and patrons) are disgusting. Attending...- Feraud

Sasha can be zombie lunch as far as I am concerned. They wrote her current character (the best shot in the group and the PTSD thing) way too quickly for my taste. Let's not forget she got knocked out by a guy (the hospital cop) who was tied up! She's lucky to be alive. I'm not buying her...- Feraud

It's not exactly a faulty impression. Adjusted for inflation prices seem "relatively" stable. However is it fair to just look at the cost of a theater ticket and popcorn?
