Can you help me date these? Two purses, purchased inexpesively at an estate sale:
A saddle brown leather box purse. Typically, box purses were fashionable in the 50s, but this one seems earlier to me - perhaps late 1940s? The shape of the purse and lining/labels seem a little older...
My husband's purchases from the same estate sale, total for all $20.00:
A selection of WWI serviceman's guidebooks to Great Britain. I can post more pictures of the insides of the guidebooks, if anyone would like. There are some interesting things inside of them. Most notably, a...
From an estate sale two weekends ago:
A set of glass bedside lamps, a brown leather vintage purse, a woven white vintage purse, some linen hand towels in pretty pastel colors, and and old woven wool shawl wrap. Total cost = $22.00. It was the end of the day and the sellers were willing...
I have a Lone Ranger Pen Set (with its original box) at home. It's a leather bullet holster that attaches to your belt. There are 4 silver bullet-shaped pens in the holster - one for the Lone Ranger, Tonto, Silver and Scout and they're each a different color ink. The box has some pretty...
I play canasta. It's fun. But I need to find some other people who can play. Farkle is fun too. And dominoes.
Not a big fan of Monopoly, it's the game that never ends.
The white keds are available on Amazon.com for $20.98:

Regarding the keds -
For those of you that own a pair, how do the sizes run? I have a hard time finding peep toes that fit me. I usually wear a size 9, but the peep toes sometimes are too long for my toes and then I just have a big empty space where the peep is. If I try to go down a half...
I'll gladly trade for tracings of the patterns I'll be getting! :) As you said, they're too nice not share.
(I'm already imaging the Anne Adams pattern done up in a color-blocked design of dark red and gray or kelly green and tan. Perhaps with a little western-inspired embroidery on the yoke.)
I live about an hour from Fallingwater, and my mother-in-law has a home nearby in Somerset. It's lovely up there, we spend our Christmas' there every year. It's also beautiful in the fall. I would also recommend visiting Kentuck Knob, another FLW house that is very close. I actually prefer...
I'm not sure, I'll have to check.
There was an entire box of these brochures from florida at an estate sale that I went to. I didn't have much money on me, so I picked out the best of the bunch. I still wish I would have just bit the bullet and bought the whole box.
Forgot to add - I have a large collection of vintage souvenier swizzle sticks as well.
And I've started getting squashed pennies every time I see a machine. There's something very appealling to me in a vintage, kitshy souvenier way about squashed pennies.
And I almost forgot the salt &...
I love vintage souveniers!
Here are the only ones I have pictures of right now:
A bunch o' brochures from Floridian roadside attractions in the early 50s.
I've got tons of postcards and I love the old domed glass paperweights with the pictures inside of them (I've got a Cliff House...
Buck eyes are in Western PA too. My great aunt makes 100s of them at Christmas. In fact she makes so many, I'm kind of sick of them because they are so rich and sweet. lol I prefer kolachis and nutrolls for the holidays.
I love poutine! Can't get it in here in PA though. I do still have...
