yesterday i had my first real date with a guy i'm absolutely smitten on! :) i wore my hair like this:
front:
top - just casually pulled back with a little swirly action since my bangs weren't cooperating.
the back:
this was the day after shampooing and a bad early-morning...
most of my vintage shoes are 1940s. the ones that are marked tend to be a 7.5 or 8. in modern shoes i also wear a 7.5 or 8 as well, so no discrepancy for me...
shoes, part 1....
here are SOME of the shoes - i wanted to get at least some up. still other stuff for sale, and as always, there are more pix of EVERYTHING on my flickr link posted earlier in this thread!
item: Daniel Green White Wedges - $30
inside length: 9 1/2”
widest part of sole: 3 1/8”...
oh, cute! cute! thank you for posting a pic!!!
girls, i'm terribly sorry about the shoes. many of them have been measured and will be posted tomorrow morning. i keep getting busy!
there have been a lot of girls in the livejournal vintage communities who have had bad transactions with PUC. i've never dealt with them myself though.
gigi, i feel your pain. i now hoard dungarees when i find them. to think my first pair was deadstock, late-40s, $25, and bought off a rack with a bunch of other pairs. i miss the 90s! you'll find a pair - my most recent pair i scored for $2 at a rummage sale :)
thanks everyone!
MK - i won't be making to to kell's tonight - too much to do and i bike to work at 7AM tomorrow morning.
foofoogal, i am inclined to agree with you. :D and i've heard from other people that i look like a teacher! haha!
I JUST GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER FOR GRAD SCHOOL!!!
i'm going to be doing Portland State's 1-year teacher education program, starting in July! this is a huge deal for me - it took me 8 years to earn my BA, another 2 to decide what i ultimately want to do, and then i had to go back to complete...
:offtopic: wow, a chain! lol i asked because in my mid-size city there are no less than THREE optical technicians who specialize in putting new lenses into vintage frames, and my friend is hoping she can find at least one in london!
and, so i'm contributing something to the thread... this is...
Fleur, do you have a place picked out to get your prescription filled? do they have experience with vintage frames? if so, will you PM me with their info? it's for a friend. thank you!
heehee, me too. it helps that i live in a very casual town... people are usually impressed that i did something, anything with myself!
ohairas, you are such a fox! seriously, if i could pick a person to look exactly like, you'd be in the running!!
"cemetry gates" by the smiths
"sing your life" by morrissey
"get up" by sleater-kinney
"don't be shy" - cat stevens
"viva la persistence" - kimya dawson
"with arms outstretched" - rilo kiley
i could go on and on, so i'll stop there!
5'4" and it's probably the only thing about myself i haven't really had a huge problem with at one point! the only time i'd ever really like to be taller is when i try on pants and they're all 8 inches too long, HELLO, i'm 5'4, not 4'5!! my mom and sister are exactly the same height as me.
i...
i have the ann taintor ones from Current. my favorite one says, "she would show them consumer confidence!"
i ave to add though, the only reason i bought cute checks were because they weren't a splurge - they were actually CHEAPER than the ugly WaMu checks!
