I GASPED when I saw this gorgeous dress. It's simply stunning. One of the prettiest dresses I've seen in a long time. Oh, please post pictures of you wearing it when you have a chance! I bet it looks wonderful on you!
FOUND: Handknit Sweater dress
After spending a good half day one Sunday, I found the perfect sweater dress.
If fits well, and is so comfy to wear. the stitching is downright teeny tiny, but it makes for a better drape, so I know I will never knit a dress like this but instead rely on...

Oh, and I nearly forgot: Victoria Secret has some wide-legged cuffed pants that could possibly pass for vintage. Although sometimes the poses on these models don't highlight the potential vintage style of it...
I just bought a pair of the sailor pants jeans and LOVE them from that eBay seller. Her eBay seller name is MissBombshell and I think her clothing is adorable! I'll post a picture of me in them when I upload the photos from my camera.
Whoa! GOK! That is amazing! I actually had to do a double-take on the giraffe--it looked so real.
And BTW, love the new photo--you hair looks divine! How do you get such height?
Well, I have a hard time doing displays, but this is how I sort of set up my jewelry around my dresser on hooks I have to have it out or I'll forget about it and never wear it. I saw some nice branch-like holders at PB Teen that I would prefer to have.
But the dresser was my Great Aunt Lil's...

I must admit that I'm completely intrigued by Spoolies and am itching to get my hands on some, so please expect an email from me shortly Spooliegirl.
I need to so something, because pincurls make me cry and hot-sticks made my hair look like I put my finger in a socket. In other words, it was...
Hurrah for knitting!
I must say I wish we could create an online vintage knitting group for our knitting FL'ers.
But I did want to post about a great article I found on www.knitty.com that discusses vintage knitting patterns: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/FEATvintage.html
Enjoy!
Thanks Viviene for that great post.
Wow! I had no idea it was getting so tough for sellers on eBay. I agree with you--this is one of the reasons other auction sites are popping up. But Ebay has such a strong brand identity and great selection that it has given them so much power in the end...
Exactly! eBay is so elusive sometimes--I keep hoping that this lull will mean that there will be an explosion of stuff on the site in January--perhaps people's new year resolutions to clean out their closets?
We can only hope...
My parents were not keen on having their kids curse and I read far too many young adult books from the thirties and forties, so here are the rather old-fashion phrases that pepper my conversation without me even meaning to and tend to raise an eyebrow or two in conversation:
- "Hot dog!"
-...
Thanks for the tip Viviene.
I must admit--it seems like prices have been going up. But also the quantity of stuff is going down. I remember when it would take me hours to go through searches looking at the dresses and now I'm lucky if one page of stuff comes up.
But that might be due to...
