    Western, anyone?

Just seen The Outlaw Josey Wales last weekend and I took one of my American Hat Co. hats and give it a cavalry cord making it a Josey Wales/Jonah Hex inspired hat. It'll take me a year to lose soem weight to get into that Josey Wales jacket I ordered years back.

    The Resistol Roundup

Actually, I tried brim binding once. It wasn't easy but even though it wasn't particularly good, it was not particularly bad either.

    The Resistol Roundup

Interesting crown crease. I can see that as an Old West hat with a plain leather hatband or a concho decorated hatband worn upon the head of an Old West film character from the 1970s.

Three films featuring this style hat in the last three pics that come to mind; My Darling Clemetine, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and Open Range.

Voo's hat reminds me of Matt Dillon from Gunsmoke.

They also make that same hat on The Last Best West and it's just as nice. I mostly buy my hats from them all the time and I usually go for the Golden Age Hollywood Westerns from the 1950s and 1960s as that is where I take major inspiration from them costume-wise along with the odd 1960s and...

    Western, anyone?

It's been a long time but here are some photos to share. My mother actually took the first one of me on the day my new hat from The Last Best West came. I am currently expecting a new one sometime in May (hopefully before my 33rd birthday)! And no, the rest is not in rhyme, that was by...

Totally reminiscent of Walter Brennan, I'd say.

    Western, anyone?

Just a new hatband for a hat I made: Made from a ladies' belt and with holes punched out for the diamond stud conchos in place; this style is supposed to scream 'Spaghetti Western'. What do y'all think?

Interesting Western hat. The last one with you in costume reminds me of various TV cowboys, You, Sir, are a merge of Ben Cartwright, Big John Cannon and others.

Good luck to anyone wanting a hat like Bob Hope's.

Thanks very much, it does look sandy in the pictures. Hopefully, with my complete costume, it'll rock great.

    Western, anyone?

Just did some work on my Spaghetti Western hat - I just used sandy beige acrylic paint with wet water along with hot water to add it in for that dirty Spaghetti Western feel to it.

Pretty nice! It reminds me of Lee Van Cleef and Rooster Cogburn! Totally a gunfighter's hat.

I have reason to believe that this was a second-hand one you picked up and reshaped, right? If so, then you did a good job. I know I would myself.

    Western, anyone?

Been on somewhat of a Spaghetti Western vibe as of lately, here's hoping I pulled it off! The black hat is one from the Hats by Grizz range that was altered and changed, then given a beaten, worn-in and dusty, dirty look like in the Spaghetti Western films itself. I'm sort of a blend between...

Randolph Scott meets Ronald Reagan, methinks.

Ben Cartwright meets The Shootist and with added Lone Ranger, methinks!

And there are more. My very first LBW Hat I ordered, the '56 Randolph Commanche. And then, last year, I went full-circle and ordered the '57 Paladin. And this here's the Purgatory Kid or Hell's Pistolero if you would.
