Made this grey hat Worf sent me to convert, which I kept since I sent him one his size, as an M1883. Color is all wrong, and the ribbon is olive drab but I figured I'd finish it for completeness sake. The stitching is by hand since my machine brokedown. It's okay. It's done.

Put some 1 1/2" rayon grosgrain on my Bailey stingy. Never really liked the original 1" off-grey it came with. It looks more substantial now, at least to me, since it's a woolie, it needs all the gravitas it can get. I deliberately fashioned a very plain bow, going for no-nonsense...
Snagged another woolie for $28.95 shipped off ebay, considered to be 'grey' by the manufacturer,( located in that place that built the Great Wall). Used hot water and fingerwork to switch the center dent pinch to a tear drop, ditched the feather, and am considering a re-ribbon with some rayon...
