A few dresses from Etsy:
A silk floral number:
A Fred Rothschild navy dress with wooden buttons:
A 60's tweed dress:
A pair of plaid gloves (roll on Winter!):
I just got this pair of chairs which I'm having re-covered in a Duck Egg chenille fabric - I reckon they are from the 30's or 40's - they are small enough so perhaps they were for a bedroom - can anyone confirm?
Not unlike the ultra-thin polka dot "Ladies Gardening Gloves" that I got the other week - super flimsy and no good whatsoever for tacking brambles - some of us ladies like to get stuck into the gardening as much as the fellas do you know!
What a honey of a car - I would have no problem driving it whatsoever!
But back to your previous comment, I can't count the amount of times I have read womens scathing comments on forums about being "lady-like" - like it was something awful, a weakness and to be avoided at all costs. [huh]
I hadn't heard of that before (don't think I have seen it in any local health food stores either but must keep an eye out). Luckily I don't get drowsy from antihistamines - Zirtek works well for me as does this new Irish made one from Eireceuticals (can't remember the name) - I get 24 hour...
I've had to try a few different brands and finally found one that works for me - nothing worse than sneezing all day, itchy eyes and my least favourite symptom - the itchy palate - drives me mad! I really thought Hay Fever season would be over by now!
We've had a very rainy Summer - very mixed but that hasn't stopped it being one of the worst seasons for Hay Fever - I cannot wait for Autumn so I don't have to take antihistamines every day!
For me it's reading novels (in paper format - no Kindle for me thank you!), watching old movies, the smell of vintage perfume, getting ready for a night out dressed up in my vintage clothing, sitting at my 1930's dressing table fixing my hair....
