Oh, I love the brown ones too. I also saw a pair of shiny black patent t-straps with elaborate details that I don't see on the website, breathtakingly cute, but the heel was similar to the ones on the oxfords, so it would be a bit redundant to get those too. I think I need a separate Chie Mihara...
Well said, Rosie! It's such a shame. The femaly body really isn't as weird and mysterious as everyone makes it up to be, it's just a question of being well informed.
I'm getting off hormonal birth control next month to get an IUD/coil instead. I'm a bit worried about the possibility of pain...
That's too funny, I got a pair of Chie Miharas last week too, and oxfords too! I can only repeat everything you said about the quality and style.
Mine are like these but in black with navy blue laces. They have perforations in the shape of a bow on the vamp:
Psst, Tinseltown ... the shoe...
April Violets is lovely, very Victorian, floral and pretty. It only lasts for an hour or so, though. I mostly use it for spritzing on a handkerchief.
The BEST violet scent in my opinion is Borsari Violetta di Parma. It dates from 1870 but unfortunately the bottle they use now is totally unvintagey!
Now that's a clever idea. Maybe self-adhesive velcro tape would work too, or would the hair get caught in the little hooks?
I could imagine that cotton fabric would take too long to dry, though. Synthetic materials would probably work better.
Ohairas, I didn't notice the girl has a knitted...
That's funny, because here's a girl who sews curlers that are rather similar:

I'd try making up some if only I was better at making buttonholes!
A little off topic, but ...
Naama, for badly damaged and dry hair you'll want Nexxus Emergencee Reconstructor.
It really does work unlike so many other repair treatments. You need to condition with a heavy conditioner afterwards or it won't work. Got mine off eBay ;)
I've heard lots of good things about the divacup too, and I have considered trying it, but like others of you mentioned periods aren't really much of a hassle when you're on hormonal birth control.
This month I've started trying out this new kind of birth control, Nuvaring. It contains a lot...
Allegedly Chinese women have been using crushed and powdered pearls on their skin for centuries.
I've stumbled upon this small company that makes real pearl products: http://silkenpearl.com/
Has anyone heard of or tried this? Pearls are supposed to contain lots of beneficent minerals and...
What are everyone's Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab favourites so far? I ordered about 8 samples and the only ones I really really liked were New Orleans (honeysuckle! I need a full size of this), Raven and Juliet. I found most of the other florals I tried too cloying.
Sari, the pattern is fabulous!
I also love the way the illustrator has paired the bathing suit with fishnets and elbow lenght gloves. That's glamourous sunbathing lol
It really is very yummy! The first kind I tried (it was from a health food shop, I've used up the bottle now) had rose essential oil added to it, so it had a gorgeous rose scent.
Now I'm using the Chilean kind from the Andes mountains, similar to this and it only has a slight fruity scent...
Pretty Faythe, it was the same with me when I had my pupils dilated - AFTER putting in the eye drops they informed me that I wouldn't be able to read or focus properly for the next 24 hours .... And I had to hand in a dissertion two days later. Great! :eusa_doh:
I had my pupils dilated with some kind of liquid last time I had my sight checked at the eye doctor. It was so that he could examine the inner eye through the pupil (it sounds crazy but apparently that's how they do it!) It lasted about 24 hours.
But seriously, I looked insane! Not attractive...
I've been doing the rosehip seed oil thing for a while now and it really is amazing! I use it as a kind of serum at nighttime under moistuser though, and it's not the slightest greasy - and I have greasy/combination skin. The Chilean sort is supposed to be the best, I've heard. Adding a few...
Yay, I got my scarf from pigeontoe too! The weather is horribly non-stop rainy here at the moment, so it's really perfect timing. I may even wear a plastic hood underneath, like old ladies. :)
Now, this is what I call a turban ...
Larger pic here
I just wanted to warn you that Magnolia stockings are longer than average. The ones I ordered said 'opera length' on the label although I hadn't asked specifically for that, so maybe all the stockings they do are opera lenght. The feet seem bigger too. [huh]
I got my first pairs of black...
