Love the thread. Even though smoking has helped to take several members of my family from this earth, I still find women who smoke and hold their cigarette (PROPERLY) sexy. I did a search and couldn't find any postings on her, so I give you silent film star Madge Bellamy:
I'm not sure if it is still in production (I've read conflicting info) but Beijing Jeep made a Chinese XJ called the 2500. Here are a couple of links that talk about that model, and rebadged Grand Cherokees:

I love the SJ fullsize platform. I kind of grew up with it as my dad always had Wagoneers then Grand Wagoneers (remember the cool Oxblood color with the same color seats?) and my mother had a couple of the big Cherokees. If you think about how the platform lasted from 63 to 91 it really was a...
There were a lot of cars that I liked back then, although most of the car blogs speak derisively of the era (using the term malaise era). I like weird stuff so I wouldn't mind having a Peugeot 505 Turbo, a Volvo 242 (again), maybe even a Fiat/Bertone or a late 80s Porsche 924S. I'm not fond of...
Sorta OT: Betty Draper really does need to be killed off on the plane ride to Reno after the horrific "performance" of January Jones on SNL last night.
Really OT: The skit on Grace Kelly on SNL was in really poor taste, and reminded why I don't watch much network television, or television...
I totally agree. I bought my first Harley in my 20s, but the average age keeps going up and up (I think in the past 5 years it has gone up 7 years for the owners. ). Killing Buell, although it might have made short term sense, will really hurt in the future.
I think that is 2009 looking back on what we want 1963 to be like. (or at least the man in charge and his view of such a "bad" time in America) Reality would have been a beatdown for going into the desk imho.
Funny this thread was posted, I was thinking about the very same topic the other day. For me, on me, I don't like the look. I could maybe do the one turn (especially if I was trying to keep the button on the cuff from banging into my watch). I do like the look on women, probably because I tend...
Dave,
You make some good points about early overheads. I guess I just said flathead because I'm sick of seeing 350 Chevys in rods.
As for the username, it refers to the name of the Red Wings before they wore the winged wheel jerseys. I'm a hockey nut/jersy buff. Before the falcons, they...
Hear hear!
I like hotrods that have vintage parts in them that are true to their heritage. However, I'm a AMC fan and they used parts from everyone so I guess I just contradicted myself. But I get your point, a 32 Ford should have a flathead imho.
Speaking of the wrong engine in a car, I...
There is no use for the station in that neighborhood that i can think of unless they want to continue to use it for movies. IMHO Detroit should concern themselves with making sure the Ren Cen doesn't get the same treatment in the coming years.
If I was going to go with a new Schott, I would buy the 613 or 618 (steerhide). For the money, I'm not convinced of the naked cowhide concept (you aren't supposed to condition it). Vanson makes a great jacket as well. Langlitz makes a great jacket, but aesthetically a Schott or some Vansons look...
