My dryer quit working exactly a year ago. Upon further inspection we discovered that there had been a small fire inside from some lint and I'm surprised and grateful that my home didn't catch fire as well. I purchased some metal folding racks (they look just like the old fashioned wooden drying...
Nevermind, I just placed an order and its actually better to order more than one product. I ordered 3 items and the shipping was close to the cost it would be for one item. I'm sure it'll be a wait to get my order. It normally takes about a week for me to get my items as I live in the Midwest...
Anyone used the Plum Dandy eyeshadow? I already have the blue and green and thinking about getting the brown and plum colors. I also would like to get another Merlot lipstick as this is my favorite everyday lipstick. I've hesitated buying because I think the UPS shipping is a little high, but at...
My grandmother saved hundreds of plastic whipped topping and butter containers. She also saved plastic bread wrappers. Whenever the family gathered at her place for dinner, she'd bring out her previously used foam plates. My hubby always commented on the fork marks on the plate. Grandma never...
Air dry your clothes...
When my dryer finally bit the big one last August, I've been line drying my clothes ever since. I doubt I'll ever replace it. Even during the harsh Midwest winter, I was still air drying. I did purchase some sturdy metal clothes racks--2 tall ones and a couple of smaller...
I personally don't care for the hat--too gaudy with the natural flowing lines of the dress. (I'd love to have that dress--but a bit longer in length)
To each his own, I say.
But I'm curious as to how many hairpins it took to keep that thing in place.
And how did she get through doorways...
Darhling,
Using regular curlers would probably work just as well.
The only reason I use Hot Sticks is that:
1.) I'm kind of lazy and don't want to take the time to set my hair in regular rollers. With Hot Sticks I'll roll up a few sections and then I'll take some of the first rolled ones...
Darhling,
I don't know how your hair takes to a curl or if it's all one length (besides the bangs). I think that look could be achieved with hot sticks by taking sections and just rolling them under. For my look, I set my hair in "2 rows". I take sections of hair from about halfway down my head...
I was so lost...
I didn't realize how much a part of my life the Lounge was until it was gone!
Glad its back up and running and I sure hope the mystery of the missing threads is solved soon!
Lolita!
SO stunning! You're so versatile too! You can do BOTH 30s AND 40s hairdos!:eusa_clap
I'm soooooo jealous!
The way my hair is (thin and wispy), I'll probably be forever a 30s girl, but that's OK as that is my favorite era.
You're definitely the top hairstylist here and my fav!
That's my "vanity in an armoir". Since I don't have the money nor the space right now for a vintage vanity, I created one inside of my armoir. I printed out some classic movie stars photos (female stars of the 30s) and put them on the inside of the doors for inspiration. Then I decided to print...
You can! Hot Sticks are SO easy, even I (who can't do a 40s roll for the life of me--I'm all thumbs) can do them. You ought to try them even while your hair grows out. You probably wouldn't have to leave them in barely a minute or two. :)
Darhling,
I have the pink/lavender Conair Hot Sticks set. But I didn't like the smaller (pink) rods (for me, they give too tight of a curl), so I contacted the company (There's an address and phone # with the instructions and you can find the company's phone # online too.) and ordered more of...
I haven't posted a picture in a while and thought I'd share my look today. Actually, this is how I usually look most days. I do my hair with Hot Sticks and can do my hair in about 10 minutes or less. I do have a slight natural wave to my hair and it takes a curl fairly easily, so that helps too...
I think its called Damping Off disease....
Helen Troy:
I did a little research on the web and this is what I think you have (as others have also said) and this is from a gardening site where it talks about starting seedlings indoors. I had this once in one of my indoor terrariums, but I didn't...
Miss 1929,
It obvious that the skin around your eyes are extremely sensitive to the cold cream. Actually, the skin there is a lot more fragile than the rest of our face and can be more sensitive. (That's why dermatologists say not to tug and pull on the skin around there...) I've often used...
