    I was lucky - my mom actually bought it from a small caf?© that closed and had a sale - I think she picked it up for around $100 bucks and gave it to me as a gift. She is a great bargain hunter since she owns and antique shop...I wish she lived closer...I could be in vintage heaven!

    I have my Bodum Santos vac pot for regular joe I have an Expobar Athenea espresso machine that makes the best espresso ever! I use a Mazzer Mini burr grinder to get a really nice espresso grind. I generally go for a nice cup of coffee from the vac pot - I enjoy a good espresso...

    I was burned out after I finished my Master's. Granted, I loved (and still do) the field of study I chose (geology/paleontology), but I was definitely not in the right mindset to go on for the doctorate. Now that 14 years have passed, I wish I had done it! "Free" is mighty tempting...
