Is it the entire thing that has the green tint or just sections?
I've not heard of fur changing color like that, although I have a hat that I bought because it was olive green, only to find it was only olive green in one specific type of light, otherwise it was chocolate brown.
I imagine it is similar to wearing a watch when you haven't before. At first it is annoying or even physically irritating to your skin, but eventually it becomes second nature to have it on and your body gets used to having it there.
For my purposes, I've always been a function over form kinda...
First of all, welcome. I've no doubt you will find a lot of really useful and fun information on here.
I don't have any experience with packable hats, but I'm sure someone will pipe up here soon to give you the low down.
Finished up season 2 of American Gods last night. It was good enough that I may go read the book now.
I've got a back log of unwatched and half-watched shows to try to make it through. I think finishing Black Lightning is probably next, followed by Runaways on Hulu.
These are great if you throw 2 shots worth of Firefly sweet tea vodka in a glass and pour the shandy in overtop. Gives an interesting lemon iced tea flavor.
Had a couple of those last night.
After months of trying, I think I've determined that my black rimmed panama just flat out doesn't fit like I want it too and never will, so I'm on the hunt again for a daily wear straw hat.
That's the way I've always pronounced it or heard it pronounced, and I grew up in South Carolina (an atypical part, but nonetheless). Of course it would be stretched out to hit all the syllables for school purposes or for clarity, and pronounced new-found-land when explaining how to spell it.
I really wanted to pick up a boater, but I tried one on last time I was in Atlanta and it just didn't seem to suit me.
This may be one of the nicer hats that I'm just going to have to give up the notion of wearing. Of course it could also be because I wasn't there looking for a boater and I was...
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't be coming in here with all that being reasonable. This is the internet, people are supposed to be angry and have stupid fights over nothing!
It's all just to get your money.
I get calls from the NRA every few months trying to get money out of me. They always start out with some absurd tagline like "do you love America?" or "do you believe in defending you family?". As a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment, it bothers me that they...
I feared I would look to strange wearing hats. I tossed back and forth with the idea before deciding that I really wanted to wear hats and I was going to make the plunge.
Even after buying a few hats, I wouldn't wear them due to the fear that I looked out of place.
So I started wearing them IN...
I'm currently watching American Gods.
I know I was supposed to pick up Game of Thrones like everyone kept telling me, but the first episode of American Gods hooked me better than the first few episodes of GoT.
But I'm a fan of Neil Gaiman in general anyway, so it makes sense that I would...
This is why I've avoided wearing blue trousers entirely thus far. Threads like this talking about how tacky it is to wear brown shoes, and equally angry threads talking about how black shoes with blue should be avoided at all costs cause you "look like a bruise".
F'n pick one...
When I first left the military and entered into the accounting field, wearing a tie seemed the most normal choice for my everyday attire. The more formal or "official" the work place, the more business ready the attire should be. Or so I thought. It didn't take me long to recognize none of the...
I picked this up not to long ago from Academy mainly because it had solid arm rests as opposed to the standard cloth arm rest. I found it to be pretty comfortable and not any heavier than the regular folding chair.

There seems to be a current trend amongst fashion blogs that insist the bottom of trousers should sit well above the ankle, and that appropriate socks should be worn to match the outfit.
I, on the other hand, was taught that the trousers should break naturally across the shoe and hang neatly...
