The Raid is variously known as the Arrow or the Gambler, depending on when it was made and who for... and is also the same pattern as the ELMC Woodward, which is itself a copy of a Montgomery Ward(?) style that was also called the Woodward. Despite all being the same basic pattern, they may be...
I think it's fine as-is. The main problem being that communication gap. It's really unfortunate that you went forward without having a clear understanding of what was expected on both sides. But the outcome doesn't actually look bad. Both with and without the fur. I don't think it's destroyed by...
Good eye. I agree with you. This one would seem to have quite a "bat wing" effect to it. It looks very similar to, but not quite the same, as the Natal/Natel jackets I'm familiar with and have handled firsthand. But it still follows the same basic pattern. The proportions look a bit off to...
A few months ago, I took notice of a leather jacket listed on ebay with the brand name "US Made Co." out of Middleton, MA.
This example of their product came out on Ebay today, and I note how similar the pattern is to that of the Natal/Natel/Walter Dyer/Kerr cafe racer pattern that we're...
That's way, way off. Bathroom scales are often not accurate with so little weight on them. On the other hand, 6.6 lbs is a great weight for motorcycle jacket. Don't be too disappointed, but give it a try.
Aero has a rarely-seen Thunder Bay on their Ready to Wear page for 750 GBP/625GBP without VAT. Looks identical to the one I had them make for me a few months ago, possibly it was a second that they had to remake before shipping mine, as it has "a few extra stitch holes under the collar"...
I don't think a D pocket zipper SHOULD be parallel to the main zip on a cross zip jacket. It should be vertical, parallel to the wearer's spine. Or slightly inclined like on the J82 so that entry via the right hand is easier.
I'd give an edge to the Eastman. I don't know if those were shot under identical lighting, assume not, but the black on the ELMC looks cooler to me, purely subjective opinion. I like the 5Star you have, and at first I thought I was looking at a Vanson. I like the ticket pocket and mouton...
Looks tiny, without an object for scale it looks like doll clothes. Probably 40s or 30s, and all but certainly a maker that no longer exists and probably not one of the big well known ones. I feel like it could be of European origin.
US Made Co is a brand I've noticed recently. They look like they are very well made, on a par with Nate/al, Walter Dyer, and TRD. I've been looking for one that fits my particular style needs, just a standard cross zip.. .
I have this jacket, in size 44, and it weighs about 8 lbs. I am skeptical that 15 lbs is accurate. Whoever bought it, I'd love to hear what the actual weight is.
To be a bit more helpful to the OP's original question, I had to go to look at the Ronin model specifically.
From the front, it looks like a fairly standard center-zip "cafe racer" design. The back looks a bit different, with a main back panel that looks more like it came from a Trucker...
