Mountebank. I may be the last person to use that word in a conversation. The person I was talking to commented on it. He knew what it meant, but was surprised to hear it used.
Go far enough north and you will encounter the 103 foot tall Mount Royal Cross on top of Mount Royal, Montreal Canada. The top of Mount Royal is 819 feet above the St. Lawrence River. It has been a landmark since 1924 and aviators can see it from many miles away.

I don't think they have any intention of selling...

The quality was bad and they wouldn't play without freezing or skipping, hope the new ones are better.
Great Gatsby theme on a Long Island estate swimming and hydroplaning in the afternoon, twenties jazz band and dancing in the evening, cocktails made with the good stuff (from Canada) with someone jumping in the pool in evening dress at midnight.
That was Gordon Sinclair for you. The script was written in a few minutes, and aired as one of a series of "Let's Be Personal" pieces he did for 1010 CFRB radio in Toronto. Every day he did a news broadcast at 11:50 AM preceded by "Let's Be Personal" at 11:45. This was Gordon's slant on some...
She probably sat on the knee of a Civil War veteran lol. In point of time she could have sat on the knee of John D. Rockefeller who lived from 1839 to 1937.
