No worries, my friend. :)
Anyhow, I'm hoping to find out from U.S. members here who purchased directly from Aero Scotland whether they were charged any customs and/or duty tax fees and if so then how much?
Oh I know you weren't trying to knock them... it's all good. I'm sure you'll find a buyer here if you put it in the classifieds section. I just checked out the jacket you have on the Schott site... beautiful jacket! Your jacket is my size and if I wasn't getting another Aero jacket I'd be all...
I also wanted to add that I agree with you completely... we are such a close knit community here so I personally enjoy interacting with everyone here in the hopes that I help others here and that I also learn something new... I can tell you that I've learned a lot here about jackets...
Guten Tag Hepville,
Thanks for your post here. I saw your thread about your new car club jacket and the other jacket however the site you posted your pics on is a site that is blocked here at my work site so I've not been able to see your pics, plus with a 9 month old infant at my home plus...
:eusa_doh: Sorry for my misunderstanding of what jacket you were talking about. So I assume Schott doesn't give any refunds then if you don't like the jacket or if the sizing is wrong?
I'm so sorry that the jacket doesn't fit you... I didn't know, or you might have mentioned it earlier at some point and I just don't remember... in any case that really sucks.
Were you not able to tell Aero that the jacket doesn't fit you so that Aero could take the jacket back and then make...
Wow... that's a lot of extra money you had to spend, Dav... sorry to hear that. :(
At least in the end you came away with a nice jacket you'll treasure always. :)
Will do, my friend. What's your name?
Have not ordered the jacket yet... color is a surprise now... I'm talking with Aero right now in regards to finalizing the details of the jacket.
Right now I'm trying to figure out from the other U.S. members here how much they paid for customs and...
Greetings Gents,
I have a question for the U.S. members here who have ordered their Aero jackets directly from Aero Scotland... being that this will be the first time I'm ordering a jacket directly from Aero Scotland, how much should I expect to pay in regards to Customs fees and duty tax...
Beautiful jacket, Paddy! Good luck with your sale. :)
Offtopic... Paddy, do you know if there any plans to implement a "multiquote" feature on our site here? It would definitely make it a lot easier and quicker to reply to multiple posts in the same thread.
Thank you so much for the kind words... my apologies... i should have posted a couple of better pictures of my jacket since my Avatar picture is rather small so you can't see the fine details of the jacket. I'll post the pictures below, but before I do I'd like to say that I agree with you...
Ahhh.... that's it!!! "Defiance" was such a good movie. Thanks for helping this old geezer remember. :D
I'll have to check out Magnoli's site then... thanks again, Jake! :)
I had the lining on my vintage 50s Irvin Foster leather jacket replaced... the only tough part potentially would be finding a good place to actually do the work. Fortunately there are a couple of places in my area that are good so I took it to one of those places and they did a great job. If...
Thanks Dave! Man, I was way off in regards to what I thought oilskin might be. :D
Are oilskin jackets primarily worn during wet weather or do people where them in dry weather too?
I have 2 little girls... one who will be turning 6 years old in a few days and the other who will be turning 10 months old.
Two TV shows that I would share with them once my youngest daughter gets old enough to watch them would be:
1) Star Trek the Next Generation - the episode where it...
For Hollywood, Christopher Reeve comes to mind.
For Bollywood, Amitabh Bachan who is considered one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema. Supposedly he and Johnny Depp were supposed to do a Bollywood/Hollywood movie together (a gangster style movie I think) but I...
I used to have a CD with all the most popular TV themes from the 70s/80s... sadly I misplaced the CD sometime back.
Below are my favorites ranked in order...
1) Six Million Dollar Man
2) Taxi
3) Battlestar Gallactica (the original one with Dirk Benedict)
4) Star Trek Voyager
5) V...
