"GriffDeLaGriff" Arturo Leather Jacket - Version 2

Hey... I just want to be sure I'm understanding you. The tears and patches you are talking about... are you referring to the small holes in my inside jacket lining or are you referring to the tear on the outside of the jacket? The tear on the outside of the jacket has already been...

Jacket sleeve length "rules of thumb"?

I guess it really depends on one's personal preference. I know for me I hate to have the sleeve roll back on my arm too much when I'm driving so first knuckle of the thumb (base of the thumb, right?) sounds about right to me. :)

    Langlitz Leathers' Butterscotch Goat

Love the color, Tony! Definitely would recommend light blue jeans or khaki colored pants with this jacket. Completely disagree with whoever that told you this is a chick color... far from it, bro. :)

You sir are an inspiration to me with you prioritizing your weight loss first before getting the leather jackets of your choice. I wish you all the best in meeting your goals, bro. :) Navin

"End Of The Season" - who's broken out their leathers?

I've been wearing my Aero NYPD jacket all summer despite the heat and it shows because my FQHH jacket broke in very quickly (will be posting up pics in a separate thread later today or this week). Basically I wore it practically every night at home while watching TV (wife keeps the house so...

Sourcing your own leather for a jacket in the USA?

Seriously? Does US-A not realize that plenty of companies out there use leather heavier than 3.5oz for use in jackets? That makes no sense what they said. :eusa_doh:

    Long Lost Leathers

Here's an idea that might help you... I assume that after your eBay transaction both you and the jacket buyer left feedback for each other? If you look thru your feedback you should be able to find the eBay name of the person who bought your jacket. Then you can message him on eBay. :)

Sourcing your own leather for a jacket in the USA?

That's a cool site... thanks for providing the link. :) One question... on that site it indicates that #1 Elk is $150/hide. How many hides would be needed to make a jacket? Is one hide enough?

    Long Lost Leathers

Good thread! PoohBang - Not sure if you saw my post from a while back but I was reunited with a leather jacket that I parted with 14 years ago while a college student (jacket was traded by my brother to a mutual friend for a set of Indian tablas and 14 years later I contacted my friend to see...

Aero 9 months + wait, is this common ?

Thanks, my friend. All is well on my end. I must confess that I hate negative smilies... since it's difficult to gauge whether the writer who used the negative smilie meant it personally or not. I understand your point though and you're right. :) Enjoy your day. :)

U.S. members here who purchased directly from Aero Scotland...

Sorry to hear that. My only negative experience with UPS was when I delivered a car part for my BMW back to the vendor for repairs in Canada and the declared item was worth $75, but the incompetent employee entered the information into his system as $750 so the vendor in Canada was hit with...

Aero 9 months + wait, is this common ?

Wrong... he is paying the customs/duty fees... that is what he did for me and what he does for his U.S. customers. In any case, this thread seems to be turning into a "Let's all bash Aero USA" thread. Bottom line here is that some people have have good experiences with them... others have...
