I hear that brutha! actually, that's to say I've heard that, in that I've heard you say that on the air before... HA! Why oh why is this just a conversation between me and you?! where are the great unwashed masses who should be clammering to add their two cents about this wonderful radio...

Are you planning on doing any cuban 30's stuff again soon? If I'm not mistaken, you played some a while ago and it was wonderful!

    10.000 BC

Ziggurats and pyramids in 10,000 B.C.? Anyone know the concept for this movie?! Is this supposed to be a glimpse into the past in the mainstream science/history vein or some sort of conspiracy-ish theory involving Lemuria and Atlantis!?

    Sweeney Todd

Where would you say the line is between tribute and rip off though? We already live in a period of time that is so severely self aware that it's creatively paralyzed. Who needs an homage from a director that is perhaps 10 years past being a really interesting artist? I'd much prefer new and...

    Teddy Boy Rock'n'Roll

As a 27 year old born & bred New Yorker, I've always loved teddy boy culture as I've seen it, which is from afar. I love the style, I love the music, I love to jive. Anything further I haven't experienced and I hope the farther it reaches away from the original era perhaps this racist stigma...

    Teddy Boy Rock'n'Roll

Very good points all around, especially the above! I think most people don't realize this. The bromley contingent was really a small group of arty intelligent friends, which eventually grew into the UK82 mohican/studs and leather uniform. the exact opposite of what punk began as only a few...

    German Expressionism fans?

VERY cool! Never seen Secrets of a Soul! I only wish I could see Madness (dir. by Conrad Veidt!) & Paul Wegener's Capt. Ramper & his Trilby!

    Sweeney Todd

It bugged me Tim Burton ripped off the shot from Svengali where the camera pulls out from a close up on his face and through a window and out into a wide city shot.

    Sweeney Todd

England's answer to Karloff & Lugosi! What the film lacks in technical innovations or high budgets, it makes up for in sheer energy that Slaughter brings to the role. He was billed as England's answer to Karloff & Lugosi. While in reality, he was more their answer to Lionel Atwill. A...

they were cuffed, but they had to be lengthened as much as possible & even had a bit of extra material added to the inside. Can you tell..?! thanks for the compliments guys! what do you think of the shirt? it's cheap & new!

late 40's three piece brown herringbone suit (& in some pictures, a double RL sweater vest) and a brand new el pachuco shirt. Opinions welcomed! :)

    Show off the sports coats.

do you think maybe some charcoal or even black pants might take the eye away from the difference of material between jacket/pants...? I have some high waisted probably 50's pants that aren't pegged that I thought might be able to mix well... :eusa_doh:

belt backed & double breasted! courtesy of slicedbread!

huh! I got them along with the jacket. Regardless of if I continue to wear them together or not, I really like their cut and how they fit me. The jacket has brown buttons so it throws me for a loop as I'm color blind and brown and green has always been something I stay away from in the past...
