    Ban Charlie Brown

    V. C. that''s sick and disgusting, putting Mickey Mouse ears on a poor doggie like Snoopy. You have a sick mind. Reminds me of me. ;) Laer

Role of Brown Suits in the Golden Age

Hi I don't wear vintage, just reproductions so my knowledge base is limited. Having said that, do we believe that Brown suits are more scarce because when we look at vintage pictures they're in black and white, so brown looks like dark gray? Just a guess.

    Air Force One jacket

Hi In general I agree that looking rich while a politician is seen as bad, but I don't see that being the case here. Even the most expensive jackets mentioned here are on the order of $1000 USDollars. The jacket he has is WAY too big, and the cotton job looks incredibly cheap. I've had a...

    My Overdue Wardrobe Education

Hi My son the junior banker said that there was an hour long meeting today concerning dressing professionally. Wearing pants at the waist, wearing the pants at the right length, etc. He was elsewhere, and didn't feel he needed the tutoring. He dresses pretty well for a 20-30 year old. At...

    What Are You Reading

Hi I'm reading a biography of Senator McCarthy. He was a driven man, but where to and why are kind of up for discussion. I'm to the part where he won his election as Senator from Wisconsin. Later

    Sunbody Hats wants to know...

Hi I have no crystal ball, but I have a couple of points: 1. Straw hats are GENERALLY for summer when it's HOT; 2. Black absorbs heat; leading us to the conclusion that black straw hats would only be worn at night at best. How about expanding the oak colored range? Just my $0.02 and...

    Air Force One jacket

Hi Edward The tacky blue golf jacket is limited to AF1 and isn't USAF issue by any stretch. The REAL USAF pilots etc wear A-2's, probably issue. My old lead wears an issue A-2 and it looks pretty good. He's also a Lt. Col and Squardon commander in his spare time. I THINK that the prez...

US Army Denim Work Clothing M1937

Hi Dad joined the USAAC Weather Squardon in July 1941 following college graduation. I asked and he never wore or saw Denims. He started at Scott AFB, went to Chanute and Mitchell Field before going overseas November 2, 1942. Just my $0.02

    Air Force One jacket

Hi I wouldn't refuse, but I'd demand one of the REAL gas station style name tags after all, he's only a public servant. Later

    Museum of Flight

I spent a week working across the street in October of this year, and in August also. Never had time to go over there. I gotta work on that. Later

    What about the smell?

HI That hasn't been my experience. My Grandaddy Harvey smoked Rough Country chewing tobacco in a pipe daily if not continuously. He died in 1979 and Mosquitoes wouldn't fly in the house in 1982. Pipe smoke generally smells better, but I sure notice it for a while. Just my $0.02

    What about the smell?

Hi Generally, those of us who are regular cigar smokers just don't care anymore. :D I also don't smoke before work, but I only burn one on road trips and weekends. I would certainly not smoke anywhere you don't want to smell it later. Anything you can wash in your laundry is better than...

    The Great Beer Thread

Hi I understand what an ale and a lager is, but why differentiate between them with respect to cask conditioned etc? Inquiring minds wanna know. I didn't understand your statement. Later

Role of Brown Suits in the Golden Age

Hi I'm not sure I've even seen a brown suit being worn. Tan yes, gray yes, navy blue yes, black duh, pinstrip yep, not brown though. Brown pants with a Khaki sport coat yes. Later

Do You Know Any Living WWII Veterans?

Hi My home town has at least 4 WW2 vets left. Jerry is going to be 98 in December 2012. He served in the South Pacific on Saipan and another island. He has one and two, purple hearts and silver star, but not sure which is 2 and which isn't. He also has a pretty good hole in his leg from...

    "Architectural Ghosts of Detroit's Past"

Hi There are a lot of good web pages on abandoned Detroit. I find it ludicrous that the Packhard Factory closed in 1958 and has been neither torn down, or reused to any extent. At least Detroit is tearing down some of their abandoned buildings creating forest and grasslands. The population...

    Rifle Firing Position

Hi Try this link: http://www.researchpress.co.uk/longrange/backposition.htm The Creedmoor position is VERY stable, but in my opinion, difficult to get into at first. It is more stable and easier to get into than kneeling though. We still teach Kneeling and sitting in 4H. The offhand...

'Everyone lied to me': Hitler's rant in bunker

Hi I think we can all be thankful that they didn't win. The world would have been ruled by a failed artist (ole Adolph), a failed chicken farmer (Heinrich Himmler), a champagne salesman (Ribbontrop), a druggie (Goering), and a porno mag salesman (Streicher). Later
