I got a Marilyn comment from a crazy drunk man last night. "Wow..Oh my god, You know who you look like. Marilyn Monroe. You know most people don't know that she actually had dark hair..." Do you look like a past relative and get negative comments for it from family?

This reminds me so much of when I was in school and I went as Stevie Nicks for "Celebrity Day." One teacher laughed and cried "Stevie!!!" when I walked down the hall, but no one else had a clue. I've been itching to color my hair for months now. What stops me is the indecision about what color to make it, and the fact that I'm a mum that doesn't have enough time on her hands to ensure proper touch ups. lol -

:-) Sorry about that. I'm a bit on autopilot these days. I used flat pincurls, and actually ended up keeping the set in over 24 hours as my social engagement was canceled due to my bum tooth. To form the curls I actually used my curling iron to keep my curls uniform and the pinned the curl after... -

Tatum, I have a middy cut that allows the curls to sit on top of each other rather than beside each other. This was just a pincurl set, rolled under, with the curls about 1 inch in diameter. I wasn't being tooo specific though. Check out The Middy Thread here on the lounge and it'll go into some... -

Also, most women with modern razor's automatically shave against the grain. Starting out with a Double Edge, that is NOT a good idea. Try it with the grain until you get the hang out it. My usual shave goes with, then against. I get BBS and no rash that way. And I just realized the OP... -

I shave vintage. I use a Lady Gillette, and usually Feather or Personna Blades. My current shave cream I get at Bath and Body Works and it's made my C.O. Bigelow. Slightly Menthol smell, but its a nice wake up. I follow up using my Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel as after. A LOT of info can be... -
