Indeed, I was talking about the 377, not the Super Guppy itself. Do you know if the Pregnant Guppy retained the autopilot, though?
The 377 is one of my favourite aircraft, I find it vastly more interesting than the Lockheed Constellation series.
Well, there was hydraulic boost on the rudder control, and the 377 had an auto pilot, simply nothing comparable to what's done today. The aircraft had an altitude hold and was stabilized on level flight. When the A/P was engaged, you could adjust the nose up/down attitude, and make it do...
Thank you guys for your feedback. What I gather here is that ELC and Buzz are indeed superior to Aero, but Aero makes a nice price/quality compromise. 109GBP for just one pair of gloves seems somewhat out of the charts for me, I must say.
Well, for 25 quids, Aero's are worth a try anyway!
They are wool lined.
@Sloan1874 , thanks for the feedback. I always wondered at the price difference between Aero's and Eastman's... Would you say the sizing is on par with the chart on the website?
Hello guys,
I'm looking at the Aero A-10 gloves for this winter. Does anyone have them? How do they compare to the Eastman and Buzz ones, especially in term of warmth?
Been there too. I was used to loose fitting jackets, had no real other options seen my long arms. If I wanted my jackets to fit the arm length, I had to take it one size bigger at least. I'm getting much more critical about it now, especially since I have my A-2 that Aero custom fitted. But I...
Guys, that's great pieces of advise, thank you!
If I find the proverbial B-10 in a size that would fit my arms length, I'd like to patch it with a 425th NFS patch, so ETO it would be, and embossed wings would not be "out of place".
Hello folks,
I was wondering if USAAF wings embossed on leather WITHOUT any name or rank indications were common in WW2? I'm still on the prowl for a B-10, love the look of the leather wings on them, but I'm not sure I'd like to put my name on display, so this could be one option.
Of course...
I used to go to every militaria fair in Ciney, but at that time, the entrance fee was 5 euros. Now it's 15... I'll pass on until they get back to more reasonable fees. that's too bad, because Ciney is really a great place!
I'm eager to see what it looks like on you! The more I look at them, the more I like the Demons one. The heavy wool, the button-up front, the design...
Simon James Cathcart has anouced for a couple days that he will release vintage inspired gang jackets. Apparently, they are now available on his website:

IMHO, they look totally stunning, especially the Crushers one. Too bad it won't fit in the total and...
Been using mostly Reuzel Green pomade for a bit more than a year, as well as their heavier pink one occasionally. Both are pretty good stuff, good hold, and the green has a nice shine to it, without being too much. Easy to use, combing easily, and the build up is pretty great after one or two...
Can you believe they even made a gunship configuration??
@Stearmen , the C-46 is my favourite cargo plane. The DC-3 is a legend, true, but the C-46 is a BEAST!
