Thanks John. I've been corresponding with Stuart but I'm still trying to decide if I should pull the trigger or if I should be patient and hope that a used one will pop up.
John,
What would you say is a reasonable temperature range to comfortably wear the LW ANJ-4? It looks heavier than a lot of the other versions that I've seen so I'm curious what your thoughts are (It looks like you're actually wearing a sweater under it in the photo).
To be honest the...
I have both a brown FQHH from Aero and a LW in brown HH. While the LW is definitely more bulletproof it doesn't have the depth/character of the Aero FQHH.
John,
In your review on VLJ you mention the zipper being a bit light for the jacket. Is the zipper size similar to the LW B-2 jackets. I have a B-2 (which I think you owned at one time) and while the zip works fine it feels like a toy compared to the rest of the jacket.
BTW bottom line, was...
John,
If you don't mind my asking, what size did you order from LW ? If I remember correctly you typically wear a 44 which is the size I'm looking at as well. If yours is a 44 I'd like to get your opinion on the fit before I order.
I tried on a Barnstormer before I purchased my Hudson. Personally I liked the look and design of the jacket and I'm only 5'-10". I originally intended to buy a Barnstormer before Aero released the Hudson a few years back and I still think about getting the shawl collared version now and again.
I did consider US authentic along with Eastman/Aero but US Authentic doesn't seem as highly regarded among the membership. Originally I was budgeting based on Eastman/Aero so the LW is a significant increase. I'll just have to be patient and save a bit longer.
Thanks for sharing your opinions. As I said I'm leaning toward LW but I'll have to keep saving for a bit longer before I can afford it.
John,
unfortunately I typically wear a 44 and Stuart recommended a 44 R based on the measurements I sent him. Otherwise I'd jump at the opportunity for a...
I've been lurking around the forum for the last few years but to be honest I don't generally feel that have much contribute so I haven't posted very often. However I've learned a lot about leather jackets from the folks here and it's lead to purchasing my first Aero (a Hudson) and a nice...
Hello all!
A friend of mine is looking for an answer to the above question. Is there a non marring adhesive to temporarily bond some patches to a leather jacket? I was thinking something like a rubber cement, but I thought I'd run it past y'all, just in case.
I tried searching the forum...
Carrie,
I'll try to remember to stop by the shop so you can see how the Hudson is breaking in. I still love the jacket and thanks again for all your help.
Andy
Cockpit USA makes a B3 fitted specifically for women. Not historically accurate in least but my wife lives in hers during the winter. It seems to be well made and I think they currently run around $800. Might be worth a look.
Does anyone have experience with Chamberlains Leather Milk for conditioning leather jackets / bags. I noticed that Saddleback Leather recommends it, but based on the information I've found it looks like the two companies are connected so I'm interested in a more unbiased opinion.
Thanks for...
