I live in Florida, hot and humid most of the year, and I wear hats everyday and mostly felt. I keep the liners in my hats until....I wear one enough out in the heat and decide I need to clean it then I'll remove the liner and clean it, water bath or white gas bath, whichever is needed. Is Hat Ettiquette Obsolete?
I suppose if I wear a nice wide ribbon Knox from the 1940's, ( a sweet hat, BTW) with jeans, topsiders, and a collarless pullover shirt, I'm not properly dressed. How do folks react to your hat wearing?
I've been wearing hats a long time. It's been quite a while since I've gotten a negative hat comment...I can't even remember. When I am occasionally discovered without a hat, I usually get a comment. " Where's your hat?" F_M- Florida_Marlin

Thanks guys. Yes, it's a fairly nice llano weave, about 18per, nice and uniform with a nice color. It certainly needed a nice sweatband. Leddy Rebuild Got my Leddy Cuenca OR style in the mail. Put the hat stretcher to it and the bonded sweat turned into this: [/IMG] So I sewed in a leather sweat taken out of a moth eaten Stetson, and put on a green grosgrain ribbon. Nice Cuenca. Got a summer lid! [/IMG] [/IMG]- Florida_Marlin
