Thanks for the tips and comments guys, ummm it's starting to grow on me. :cool: I've been wearing it around the house since I got home from work, it IS just a tad loose on me, and the actual "body" of the hat is larger than I expected. I am thinking just normal wear might tighten the sweat band... -

I was expecting the crown to be a tad higher, don't get me wrong its a beautiful hat nice and firm, creases are all even very nice hat. the craftsmanship is excellent, it is a tad large, I think once I get to wearing it just getting the sweatband damp will do the trick. felt is beautiful -

Rough photos I'm at work, not so sure, BIG hat. it isn't quite the way I had envisioned it but I suppose a lot of stuff isn't. its a tad darker, not in a bad way than I thought it would be from Mikes other Whisky hats. I am currently into a 3 month wait on a "modified" 1930's PLAYBOY from NORTHWEST HATS. Whisky beaver felt, 6" crown, 1 1/2" dark brown ribbon, 2 1/8" raw edge brim with one row of decorative stitching. According to the last word from Mike, this could be anytime now, the wait is killing me... -

i do seem to remember these being short, mine just covers my belt line. in all fairness, any other Lee Rider i have had in my life would have been from the early 70's on, and from what i understand when they added the hand warmer pockets the basic "cut" of these changed also? is this true...- wcbrown
