I had this same experience with all my other boots until I received my Benzeins. Right from the start they were comfortable and no pain whatsoever. I think the first day I wore them for about 9 hours
Sorry for your loss and I hope you find the time to take care of yourself and reflect. I lost my mom last year and coming up on the 1 year anniversary of her passing. It’s still really tough at times but it gets better, especially with time. I hope you and your family stay strong during this...
I could also suggest taking a look at the chelsea's made by Grantstone. They are around $300 USD and seem to be really well made, I have yet to hear anything bad about them so far. They seem to be a really good value nowadays with very good QC.
Let's hope these work out better for you, let us...
Are you finding something about the lace to toe/monkey boots fitting your feet better or more of a preference in a model?
I always forget about that one, seems like its not as popular as 131 monkey boot and his other models. It definitely looks similar to the offering by Clinch and can imagine...
I think Viberg is different from White's/Wesco and find them to be more versatile and less planted in just work oriented boots. I believe that's what makes them unique and different from other PNW makers and they are pushing themselves in a different direction too. Now I do agree that they may...
I too like the engineers that come out from Viberg especially when they're on the 2005 last instead of the 2050, but they don't run them all the often anymore.
With Benzein you are looking to pay around 4-450 USD and leathers to choose from Horween, Shinki, CF Stead, Maryam, and Cloe. It is MTO...
Any of the leathers that come from the Badalassi tannery are just to die for, and it seems like even brands like Grantstone are starting to use it. You've got a nice collection of boots there with a preference for lace to toes/monkey boots. What are thoughts on the monkey boots from Flame Panda...
I just try not to think about it so much and it helps pass the time. I have heard the turnaround time is already at mid 2023, I can see why it puts some people off. When you tell people that you have to wait 2 years before your boots come in, they look at you like you're crazy. I can handle 2...
Between the three Indonesian boots you have, do you have a favorite? I know the least about Junkard between the three but have heard they are one of the cheaper Indonesian makers. There is a pair of crust shell cordovan boots made by Junkard that I've seen that looked stunning. I would also like...
Here are my TDD-01 boots from Benzein in Toscanello horse rump from Maryam. I’ve had them for about 2 months now and from the get go they have fit me perfectly. This is unlike any other boot experience I have had up to this point, and it was definitely worth the wait. Indonesia has become a...
I think brogue cap toes also look better than the straight stitched cap toes. The Indonesian makers offer a great value for money and the chance to get pretty much anything you can think of and generally whatever leather you want.
It's unfortunate that your boots are slightly on the bigger side...
Do you know if WL still offer brass screwed soles? I remember reading something that WL and Rm Williams are some of the only brands to still offer that method of sole construction
Those are super nice! Really like the brogue cap toe. I want to add another pair from them or another Indonesian...
Man, I keep coming back to this post because I just adore this jacket. The fit looks great and its making me want this or an imperial. @handymike Thanks for the distinction between the three jackets, as I wasn't too sure what the differences were. I don't usually like zip jackets and prefer...
@Harris HTM shows you a some of the difference between the two and the biggest thing will be the depth of color shell cordovan will have. The Color 8 shell will vary all the way from dark brown to a lighter burgundy. Horween also does have a color 8 cxl which is one of the better cxl colors but...
I think it goes very well with either black or brown and extremely versatile. Rather than a normal burgundy, the light to dark variation the color 8 shell makes it even more all-arounder.
That's really cool, where are you getting the elk from? The 108 last is much sleeker and has a dressier...
Would you go for the normal black/color 8 or one of the rarer shell colors?
I don’t have personal experience but I have seen reviews from Stridewise and some on Reddit. From what I know it’s a decent boot for something like 2-300 but don’t expect great quality control
What do you have coming...
Are these not Sagara Cordmasters? Either way these are really spectacular, love the variability in color. One of the reasons I’ve been so drawn to shell cordovan is how much it can change with difference in viewing angle
