He’s doing absolutely great work and I hope in the future he becomes more accessible. It looks like he’s begun to hire extra people so let’s hope that free’s up some space. Now do you have another pair coming from him or do you plan on getting a second pair?
I mean if we’re just comparing Indonesian makers only, I think the Onderhoud is far and away the best looking. He’s only recently introduced it so as time goes on it will improve. I personally would not get the Benzein engineer and you’re right they just don’t look completely right. Of course if...
I enjoyed my experience with them and would definitely work with them again. The Benzein engineer is pretty good but not as refined as Rizky’s. I do also like the engineer from Prof. Barnets, it’s on the bulkier side but still look good!
Good to know! You should make a post when you have all 3...
That’s awesome you were able to get selected and it will be here before you know it! Although that is the one thing I dislike about Onderhoud is semi-lottery system he has in place. I don’t mind waitlist but I refuse to play for a chance to buy a pair of boots. Of course he decides what’s best...
You’re completely right, I would say majority of jackets that are discussed should and have the ability to make near perfect jackets. I just think it’s more unacceptable because of the price point. I personally would tolerate more hiccups as the price goes down. But nonetheless at $1k or around...
Oh I didn’t know you were getting engineers from Rizky at Onderhoud?! That’s a great first pair of engineers and probably my favorite engineer pattern from a Indo maker. When are they stated to arrive? But that is a good idea to test the water but going all in.
Yeah this makes much more sense. The issues here as you stated wouldn’t be as big of a deal if the jacket was around $1k...but it’s not. It’s double that price and for what? They nailed the fit but I would be upset too with the issues that are there. My Himel that I recently received seems to...
Hopefully you’d be able to build something similar and I think you should.
I pretty sure you could get brown lofgrens through his website. Now natural is a great alternative and ages really nicely.
When the payments is does make it much more manageable. That’s partly why I decided to get my...
The wesco mr Lou in brown cxl might be a good option for you. The nice thing about the mr Lou is it has a narrow shaft and would fit under most narrow openings of pants.
Good to know about the preorder, did not know that. You saved a good chunk of change, I’m not sure I could ever convince...
That’s very understandable and thank you for clarifying your position. It’s too bad your jacket didn’t end up working for you because it does fit great and from the pictures it looks good. I just received my first Himel and it’s still early but I am really happy with it so far. All the stitching...

@Carlos840 I just went back and looked over your review of the Chevalier and it seemed fairly positive. I’m sure it’s been mentioned and I could have missed it, but what about your Himel has you viewing it in a different light? Did you ever contact him regarding your issues with the jacket?
The more I’ve looked into the new Wesco’s the more the skinny straps bother me. I just feel like the straps on the previous knuckle draggers looked better.
The clinch engineers are just on another level...not only in design but also price lol. I believe they were doing a preorder a few months...
I just think I prefer the look of buttons on jacket but in particular I think the Heron looks better with buttons. The zip version is also a great jacket and would have been a great addition to your collection. I will say though that whatever my next jacket is...it will have a zipper
I’m excited to see how much darker it will actually get or if it will stay closer to what it is now.
Patiently waiting haha. The other jacket is the Heron A1 button front
I’m really like how it’s starting to take shape, it’s also darkened a touch after a couple of light rains.
I was told it was entering production 2 weeks and it would take about a month or so to receive it. So hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
I think so too, it seems to be his halo product. When it comes to engineers he’s one of best and his pattern is stellar. Now, everything else he makes looks phenomenal too. Anything you get him you would not be disappointed. My plan is to get engineers from him but also have thought about his...
I did not realize initially that his Manhattan was a j24, I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention. What liner did you opt for? I do like the navy quilted rayon he offers standard on the Manhattan.
That’s understandable, going a little crazy could backfire and lead to a seldom worn jacket. I...
