I like my Seven in dark seal Vicenza. I had a badalassi fit jacket and did not care for the shiny finish and incredibly annoying squeak. While the badalassi swatch looked great, it definitely is a different beast on a whole jacket.
I think the length is fine, especially with the double zipper.
if you do not feel it is binding in your armpits when moving your arms with the jacket zipped, it should mold to you easily. However, this will never be a layering jacket. I would definitely add 1” P2P if you want a three season...
I really like the contrast with the grey suede.
Thanks Tom. I will talk to her about this to make sure this is the right jacket for me.
If I have to go custom, and Theo will do it, this is exactly my plan.
If not, then I am going for the medium pocket like Marc's green Thedi above.
Well Hell, I guess you guys were right and I should have just deleted my account after getting my Aero Seven to avoid the compulsion for more jackets.
I am now looking at a Thedi because of all the stunning photos I have seen. I am considering something to compliment my dark seal vicenza Seven...
I had a 563 Delivery jacket in steer that I would surmise is the same pattern as this one. It is a very roomy pattern so you may want to call Schott make sure that the size you order is correct. Initially, I ordered a large but had to swap out for a medium. Even the medium allowed ample room for...
I have a Seven (Board Racer pattern) in a size 44.
I wear a 42 in a tailored fit suit jacket and 40-42 regular.
The 44 is a nice form fitting jacket comfortable when wearing a t-shirt or light long sleeve shirt but a bit snug with a sweater or fleece underneath. If I needed to layer, I would...
I have what many consider to be high armholes on my Aero Seven.
In all honesty, they are not as comfortable as the armholes on an old Schott and newer Ralph Lauren jacket I have. When I move my arms forward there is a slight pressure into the front of my shoulder. However, they do not cause the...
Second on the DIY adjustment with a pair of pliers with one modification. Use vise grips instead.
Position the pliers on one side of the zipper with the pliers locked and adjusted to be slightly wider than the zipper pull. Next, tighten the adjustment knob with the handles already in the locked...
I don't know Brian….
Us guys that married above our station are forced to fight to stay somewhat fashion relevant, regardless of our age. If she likes it then go for it. Maybe move a nice Himel to a fan south of the border???
It will soften up nicely. My Vicenza Seven took about three months to start to give in the armholes.
I even spent a couple hours on the rowing machine with the jacket on over a sweater to speed it up.
