I don't think that's horsehide... the Octagon leather Vanson produces I've never seen in a horsehide material, rather a waxed steerhide. It also looks to be the said Octagon material.- b1lf

If the potential buyers 'demand' a more precise measurement - try popping into your local bike store. There are a lot of 'weight weenies' in the cycling community, and the scales they use have hooks for a bicycle wheel. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you'd ask them to chuck your jacket on it...- b1lf

What other raw denim have you owned? I guess I've tried quite a bit and something like a double indigo or and indigo (warp) x black (weft) is one that will really bleed.
