This. If I wanted an armored jacket for riding, this is what I would choose (I don't ride).
Or, for additonal practicality in warmer weather and a slightly more 'biker' look, I'd get this:

I'm sure...
Which leather is this exactly? Checking out the Left Field website... it states:
So... it's not Vanson's comp weight, it's the X150, correct?
I'm 5'11" with a "long" torso and this would probably work for me.
I just got a custom Model E in X150 (very similar to this jacket) - I probably...
Oh, I got a two-way zip as well. I also debated the no-belt: but the standard one is completely removable and don't mind the loops without the belt in so I went with that.
Your above build sounds great!
As for CW vs MW vs X150 vs Z150 vs pebbled/tumbled/etc:
I already have CW on my Vanson...
Yeah let me clarify that Vanson will be more than happy to make you a fully custom jacket and an extremely low up-charge (if any) to one of their standard jackets.
I you want a Model E without epaulets and no belt and extra body/sleeve length, with X-150/Z-150/Comp leather: they'll do that all...
I live in Long Beach and have visited Butterscotch a few times. Great shop and awesome owner, Tommy. Super nice guy.
As much as I love a lot of the clean designs of the Vanson x Butterscotch collabs - I am personally not a fan of any of the pebbled or tumbled leathers.
The X150 there was...
Vanson*
They will not make a limited edition collaboration jacket like the Vanson x Left Field Commando - as Left Field technically owns the rights to the design. Same thing for any of the Butterscotch collabs. Also - it's the same deal with any interior fabrics. Vanson is quite strong on using...
Haha, I'm an engineer too - some of us have Google'd sarcasm!!!! :)
Happy Friday!
PS: take this post as hard data that I was being sarcastic about my Model B being crap (meaning undesirable). It is the nicest jacket I've ever owned. Which is the same company, cut, leather, and hardware...
The Model B is crap.

I don't think that's horsehide... the Octagon leather Vanson produces I've never seen in a horsehide material, rather a waxed steerhide.
It also looks to be the said Octagon material.
If the potential buyers 'demand' a more precise measurement - try popping into your local bike store. There are a lot of 'weight weenies' in the cycling community, and the scales they use have hooks for a bicycle wheel.
I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you'd ask them to chuck your jacket on it...
What other raw denim have you owned? I guess I've tried quite a bit and something like a double indigo or and indigo (warp) x black (weft) is one that will really bleed.
I also don't have a bunch of light colored fabric furniture in my house and my car seats are black leather.
A lot of 'denim...
